The sign is a beckon in the night. People are local. Support local. Super clean, comfy bed. So close to Yellowstone national park you can throw a rock.

This was a simple and clean hotel. The establishment is run by a responsive and respectful owner. He allowed me to extend every day based on my needs. There was no scam and no bugs. In a nutshell, a honest good business.

This is room 42. It's big, clean, comfortable, no fridge, but the windowsill works for that. Great young lady at the front desk. A bit on the expensive side, but if you have no other option, this is the place to stay.

Clean and excellent location. Water pressure is good. Bed and lighting not the best. We stayed three nights, two were fine, one not so great. The noice level depends on cooperation from other guests. The second night, several young kids were screaming and running down the hall between 11 and 1130 pm.

This has worked perfectly for us. It's clean and comfortable and so close to the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park. It's also great to be able to park here and walk to everything in town. All lodging here is expensive, and this is no exception, but it has suited our needs very well. I recommend it.

About as close to the entrance of the park as you're going to get, and the most reasonable rates in West Yellowstone. Doesn't look like much from the outside but don't let that fool you. Rooms are well appropriated. They could use a few more TV channels, but a small complaint. I'd stay there again.

Don’t let any bad reviews affect your decision of staying here. It the best hotel at this price. The rooms are HUGE! Extremely close to the park - the closest hotel to the park. Lots of parking available. Very close to good restaurants. I will definitely only be staying here whenever I come to visit Yellowstone.

Maybe I am being influence by a my feelings about a business trying to cope with a states restrictions due to Covid but if a business is running reduced services due to Covid I'd have appreciated a slightly reduced rate. (The motel wasn't at full capacity but was quite busy). First, we had to change our original reservation by a few days, but gave Al plenty of notice and called twice trying to make sure the reservations had been changed. When we got there, they said we didn't have a reservation for that day but the young lady found the note saying to change the dates but it had

This was a great stay! Spacious room with cute decor and right across from Yellowstone's west entrance. Great WiFi and friendly, accommodating staff. Best price for quality in town; I was definitely shocked at how high priced other hotels in town were.

This place is great. Simple, cute, immaculately clean with decent sized rooms and very reasonably priced to top it all off. Right next to the park entrance and everything you could need in town is within walking distance. Would definitely suggest staying here!!

Great for the price but the internet is spotty at best. The staff knows this and doesn't care. No coffee at motel. You have to walk to gas station to get a free coffee. No amenities

This was a last minute trip so rooms in town weren't plentiful. However, our room here was beautiful. It was clean, updated and comfortable. There is no hairdryer or coffee pot, but still nice. Don't let the older exterior fool you!

A class act family run motel. Both generations of family come together to make your stay informed and comfortable. The rooms are very clean and the motel is in the process of being remodeled. Our room which was recently completed, had brand new pillow top mattresses that were very comfortable. It appears that the rooms in need of remodel are not being used for guests, so you can be quite assured you will receive the upgraded digs. Mind you, Al's is still a budget place, but now with such things as fresh bedding, new mattress, and flat screen tv, you can't go wrong. We paid $120

What a great place to stay the rooms were big, clean, has ac and TV, that is the only place I will stay in west Yellowstone, the room was less than 150 for a night with 3 people, of course there is no continental breakfast but there is a bakery just one block over which is very good also

Decor is a little out of date, reminds me of my grandparents' house or an episode of mad men. But it was very clean, inexpensive, and the shower had plenty of water pressure. Even the wifi wasn't bad. Only missed item was the air conditioner, maybe that's not normally a necessity in Yellowstone.

Pros: Very close to the west entrance to Yellowstone. Big rooms.
Cons: No A/C. No phone, fridge, microwave. Must check in by 9 pm. No ice machine--have to ask the clerk for ice, and they only give you enough ice for four cups.

What do you expect when the motel is called "Al's Westward Ho"? Yeah, this is not the Ritz but hey, it's cheap, immaculate and cozy. I think it's all part of the Yellowstone experience. We can all go for a few days without phones or Wi-Fi and it's not going to kill us. I learned that from staying at Al's.

The only reason to stay here was the cheap price--certainly not the decor, the quality, or the service.

My spouse and I reserved a queen room weeks in advance. When we arrived, we had instead been assigned a room with 2 twin beds. We complained, and asked what was the point of reserving, since Mrs. Parker had given away all the queens to other travelers. Her entire reply: "You have a room that is adequate for two people." (!?!) Since when are 2 twin beds considered "adequate" for a married couple? Other motels seem to be able to manage their reservations better than this
