I went to my scheduled appointment and the receptionist was extremely rude. I was told, “we don’t take your insurance. Sorry.” She handed me back my card. I have a very demanding work schedule. You would think that they would see what insurance I have before accepting the referral. Irritating. They need more training on professional etiquette as well as what to do when receiving a referral from another office.

Dr. Schatz and his staff are very friendly, personable and professional. After battling plantar fasciitis and being in pain for months, I finally made an appointment to see what, if anything could be done. What a lifesaver Dr. Schatz has been. I am finally on the road to being able to walk and hike with little to no foot pain and I am so grateful. I would strongly recommend you see Dr. Schatz if you are having any foot or ankle pain, his clinic is simply the best.

They did a great job as far as removing toenails. Seemed very knowledgeable and competent. My one complaint is that the first words out of the front desk was " cash or card?" I paid three copy's for 2 toenail removals. They refused to do both toes on the same day even though my insurance stated that was not necessary. I could keep going as far as examples for the confusion as to the way this would work but my point is that it seemed as if they tried to get as much money out of me as they could.

My primary care physician warned me that the care they personally experienced from this place was poor. However, I was determined to stay local and give it a shot, so I bravely scheduled an appointment.
Long story short, this place is really underwhelming. They have no capacity (or seeming interest) in comprehensive care of feet and ankles. What they can do is make you orthotics. And tell you that you have bad shoes.
What's really unfortunate is how many appointments they will try and stretch it out into. Not one of my appointments was more than about 10 minutes of actual personal interaction

I have known Dr. Steven Schatz & Dr. Karla Trombello for almost TWENTY years now & their level of compassion & expertise are unsurpassed. Foot pain can be extraordinarily debilitating & these two possess not only the knowledge, but also the skill to treat most issues.
I have had a “change of foot structure” since I shattered my ankle & my custom orthotics have been GAME CHANGERS.

I have seen both doctors at this clinic over the course of the last 15+ years and would highly recommend them to anyone. I've had toenail removals, wart treatments and custom inserts made and have walked away 100% satisfied each and every time. They always take the time to make sure they have an appropriate treatment plan for you, they look into insurance coverage to make sure you dont get stuck with a nasty bill and they are extremely caring and kind. If you're looking for a podiatrist, this is the place to go!

Went in 2/6/19 for a foot/ankle injury. They did x rays and said nothing was broken. Meanwhile im still limping. The doctor told me i should do stretches or buy their orthotic inserts they sell there and sent me home.( Thanks Doc i could've read that online) The real reason for 1 star is I asked for a doctors note excusing my absence from work for a few days and they refused. What kind of doctor cant write a note for a simple sprained ankle. If you injure yourself and need a note for work excusing yourself this definitely is not the place to go. They basically take your co-pay and shoo you out

I had X-rays, and MRI scans costing me a grand after my insurance getting passed around from spot to spot with no inclination of what was wrong with my foot. At this clinic I had an X-ray and within minutes the doctor came in and told me exactly what was wrong with my foot and how they were going to fix it. I couldn't be any happier knowing that my foot is going to be taken care of and my pain can finally come to an end because of these guys!

I had a very, very large planters wart on my foot due to a general doctor's incompetence not giving me something to clean the injury it originally was. That was when a planters wart grew into the cavity. They got it all cleared up within 3 or so visits and the wart is fully gone and with no scaring either!. So grateful for the work and care they put into it. I plan to go back again if I have anymore planter warts that may show up.
