We start the return preparation process with a no-cost meet and greet and situation analysis for every client. Our base preparation rate of $150 generally applies to someone who receives one W-2 and a limited number of 1099s.

Sean is still a gem! Sean is still kicking butt and doing a great job. We hand him a complicated pile of paperwork and he nails it. I met Sean after my previous tax guy gave us a bit of a runaround (after trying to do taxes since February). I was able to call and get an appointment for the following week. Sean is very knowledgeable and thorough and cost of service is fair and very reasonable. I appreciated his expertise and sincerity. I got a letter from the IRS for a bill of $2200 from 2015. I googled around the local neighborhood and called Sean solely based on that fact that he had more yelp reviews than everybody else in the neighborhood did.
Long story short, Sean got my $2200 bill reduced to nothing, and I'm even getting a check back from the state for $164

Sean was awesome! I was in and out in about an hour. Last year when I was ripped off by H&R Block, I was in their office for 2 hours and supposedly the lady worked on it when we weren't in the office too. Sean completed everything quickly, knew all the write-offs and deductions I was supposed to get and made my tax filing 100% worry free, fast and easy. Sean Currey at Carlsbad Tax and Accounting has been doing my taxes for about three years now. Previously, one of the big local accounting firms did my taxes, and I paid about twice as much for my relatively simple return than Sean charges.

Excellent and reliable service. I've had an ongoing tax issue for years due to military deployments. Sean understood the issue straight away and gave me everything I needed. He went even further and explained the situation in detail and what the problem was to my tax advocate. For the past five years I was using a CPA in Carlsbad, but they kept raising their rates so i decided to give Sean a try. His price was much more reasonable and he got me all the same deductions plus a significant one the previous place missed prior years. I'm more than satisfied with Sean's services and will be back.
