This is the sloppiest truestone bank I have ever been to. I had to go to three different people just to pay a bill. The manager Michelle is extremely rude and the employees don't know what they are doing. I plan on complaining directly to the company as well. The employees should be trained if they're going to be messing around with people's bank accounts. Worst location they have.

I seriously question Trustone's committment to putting customers first.
Had a vehicle loan through Trustone. Traded in this vehicle for for a new car at a dealership in April 2021. Dealership requested the payoff amount from Trustone, received it and sent a check to Trustone which cleared a week later. Done deal right? Gets bad from here....
I get several calls from a representative from Trustone over the next couple of months, always leaving a very generic, non-descript, no details voicemail asking for a call back. I get spam calls daily, if I dont know you, and have no clear reason to

The transition from my previous credit union to TruStone has not been very impressive. Their response time to messages is poor, they switched me from a dividend earning acct. to a non-dividend earning acct, telling me it was comparable to the other credit union's (going from earning dividends to not earning dividends is not comparable!). They don't include activity for savings on their monthly statements, only quarterly. When you do bill payment online, they don't provide any payment confirmation number. When trying to make online transfers, they have a convoluted naming system,

Came into the branch hoping to get a pre-approval letter, without an appointment. James, the mortgage loan officer was able to see me right away! He was awesome to work with, very knowledgeable and genuinely cared about my needs. I was blown away!! I highly recommend working with James if you have any mortgage questions!!

The only reason for 2 stars is the teller that helped me. Otherwise it's 1 or 0! TruStone took over & it's a disaster!! The phone bank is from the 80's. I finally got fed up & had to talk to a rep. After waiting an unreasonable amount of time, they don't have a clue what they're doing. 2 different couldn't answer simple questions. The credit cards didn't work after a month. Got a letter saying to activate my replacement card. It never came!! I'm extremely disappointed with this takeover. I'm sure they won't care when I close my 40 year acct.

Customer service is terrible. Went buy Teacher appreciation gift cards from Target, Truestone , my bank kept denying the transaction. I did have enough to cover the transaction. So I called their 24 hour Custer service number. " I am sorry we are closed right now our hours are" After that I was given 3 options, 1 = lost or stolen, 2 = I knew no one would answer, 3 = phone banking. I used to like this location back when it was firefly. Today I went and was not treated in a very helpful manner. In fact it was a waste of a trip. I don’t think I would ever open a account with them. Future advice to management. Good customer service attracts new customers and typically will give recommendations to friends and family. In this case I wouldn’t recommend this bank to anybody. I have had better service with TCF bank for crying out loud.

I worked with Melissa Olson to secure the HELOC. Melissa was very prompt in answering all my questions (all through emails). I feel valued as a customer. Not only she provided excellent customer service, she explained and pointed out all the document I needed to complete and sign. I feel she went above and beyond to make sure I feel comfortable about the loan.

Was applying for a car loan for the first time. I wasn't sure of my credit and had my father with me as a co signer. After working with a nice banker named Alex we had a loan out together. We still had to submit our pay stubs to submit the loan with the terms we where working on. Alex went on vacation and some other banker was gonna finalize the loan and submit it on Friday. Moments before they closed on Thursday they called to say they where denying the loan. I asked how could you deny it before we even submitted everything that was required early for the loan? Great location & excellent experience w/ TruStone so far. Their TruRate checking gets 2.02% APR right now which is one of the highest I've come across. They also have a free coin counter in some of the lobbies (possibly all, haven't been to all) as well as surcharge-free ATMs.

This is my least favorite location to go to, the tellers usually have an attitude. However today the teller was friendly (he must be new.) Anyways I had to.stop for a replacement card because it cracked and the lady helping ( I use that word loosly) was so rude. Like I was a hassle and asking her a question about resetting my pin was a silly question to even ask. I hate hate hate this location but love the bank. Go to the Northeast location at all costs.

*Update* after over a year of membership, I'm still happy with TruStone. They just sent upgraded my checking account for free with more dividends and a much nicer looking debit card. It's really easy to transfer money between my checking and savings accounts and the app has had minimal glitches.
Signed up for a checking account, they gave me $100 for setting up online banking, eStatements, and making five debit transactions within first 30 days. Free checks every year which arrived in the mail quickly. Nice building, parking and friendly staff. Convenient app with ability to deposit

I have been a member of Trustone for years and they never disappoint. The employees are always friendly, helpful, and get to know you and your needs. I rarely come into the bank itself, but when I do it either this location or the one in Maple Grove (but it's usually this one, as it's located closer to my home). The interior of the branches are always inviting, a fireplace, drinks, comfortable chairs, and excellent reading material (like Oprah magazine, not any of those lame-o magazines). The only thing I recommend is probably not using them as a primary bank if you travel frequently
