The Montana Preschool is located in a single family house, north of Montana Avenue in Santa Monica, with a beautiful and large play yard. It is a high ratio preschool (1:4) with an educational program, home environment, best nutrition and lots of love and care.
Our clients come from all over the world, and most children enrolled at the school speak two languages or more, including Swedish, French, Hebrew, Finnish, German, Italian, Russian, Romanian, Korean and many more.Children who don't speak English are welcome at our school, and we became very comfortable in helping children acquire English as a second or even a third language.

Services
The Montana Preschool is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, and as such, follows children interests in many ways. Teachers will follow children's new ideas or interests, and will help them expand their ideas. Teachers will also provide support to the children with their new idea with materials, information, media etc.
We provide a nurturing environment where each child can comfortably develop the social-emotional skills, problem-solving abilities, and healthy decision-making. The teachers utilize stories and activities to assist the children in identifying, addressing and expressing their feelings and emotions. The Montana Preschool is inspired by the Reggio-Emilia preschool philosophy.
When I had my son (born in 2004) I had to decide whether or not to go back to work in hi-tech. At the same time, I was learning about child development, to acquire parenting skills. I decided to start a preschool! My skills as a technical writer helped me to form routines and documentation for the preschool, the teachers, the children and the parents.
At Montana Preschool we believe that every child and every parent are different and unique, and so transition time. We also believe that parents know their child best, and therefore will know what would be the best transition process for their child. We are happy to accommodate parents and children at transition time, and we will help parents with schedule and requests.
Once your child expresses an interest with the potty/going to the bathroom at home, and can actually use the potty/toilet (once is enough), we will start the potty training at school, a process that is a collaboration with parents and teachers, which if done right (and everybody is on board) should not take more than 1-2 weeks.

My daughter just graduated from Montana preschool. She abusolutely loved the teachers and environment. Teacher to student ratio is great. Teacher Jeanette and Joyce are super friendly and attentive to everyone. All the kids are lovely and eventually became good friends of my daughter. It was tough for her to leave after a wonderfully year here.

Our son has been at Montana going on two years now since he was 2 years old! He loved it on his first day. He learned his letters, math, science, art not to mention manners, helping and kindness. The art projects are wide-ranging and creative, and the end-of-year shows are incredible. The director Sigal is always so helpful and flexible with respect to the kids. Teachers Jeannette and Joyce are marvelous with the children. The parent community is great and we're so grateful for this preschool for our little guy! It's become part of our extended family.

Our 3 yr. old son has been attending Montana Preschool since he was 2.3 yrs old. We absolutely love the school. I was worried about sending him to school so young, but the wonderful teachers really helped him adjust. I think the smaller setting provides a more nurturing and cozy environment for the kids. The school has great programs with outside teachers coming in weekly to teach piano, swim, gymnastics, etc. I love that we don't have to drive our son from class to class, and yet he is growing up with so much enrichment opportunities. He truly enjoys being around his classmates and teachers, and

We've had two sons go through Montana Preschool and we love it. It's got a real family feel to it and Sigal does a wonderful job of running the program there. The teachers have been great and are so caring and supportive of the kids. They also do a nice job of balancing education and fun. And we love the fact that the kids get nutritious meals there. Great experience all around.

We are so happy with Montana Preschool, our daughter joined there last year and absolutely loves it! She attends part time but every day she doesn't go, she wants to be at school! We looked at a few different preschools before joining but what struck us about Montana Preschool was the friendly, small and homely atmosphere it had about it. Sigal, the owner, is very friendly and helpful and keeps us parents involved at every opportunity. The kids go on field trips and there is also the option for them to attend ballet, piano or swimming within school hours for an extra fee. We are very happy here

My son has had a wonderful first year at Montana Preschool. His teachers Damla and Rocio are fantastic, warm, and engaging. There is never a shortage of activities between yoga, science, dance, singing, and gymnastics! I love the flexible drop off and pickup times as well, in addition to warm nutritious meals. The school is a hidden gem.

I was very happy to find Montana Preschool after visiting many different daycares. I enrolled my daughter when she was just 2 years old just after moving from France. She was a bit lost in this new place but fortunately Montana Preschool and the Director, Sigal were very nice and did a great job in comforting her. Her English improved very quickly, she met a lot of new friends and now she is very comfortable with her new language and environment. This daycare is like her home and she loves her teachers. The program is very rich and interesting, and the children can learn a lot. There are many activities

Our daughter adores Montana Pre-school! She has made great friends there and loves her teachers. She is always happy the days she has school and always asks why she does not go to school the other days…
My husband and I are also very glad that we found Montana Preschool for the beginning of her scholarship.
The teachers are very nice with the kids. You can feel and see that they love working with children, really care about them and want them to blossom.
They organize lots of great workshops for the kids, to develop physical, social and academic abilities.
We also appreciate that teachers

Our daughter started at Montana Preschool when she was just shy of 2 1/2. As parents, we were looking for a place that offered a nurturing and loving environment, had a limited amount of children, and would support our child's growth and development. Montana Preschool was able to provide all that we were looking for, plus the hours we needed as working parents. Our child has thrived at the interactive and supportive environment that Montana Preschool has created. The Director, Sigal is very hands on, and is always thinking of new and creative ways to engage the children. She always puts the children

I was very anxious to put my 2 year old son in school as we had just recently moved here from London, but I was so surprised at how quickly and smoothly he adjusted and made friends. I thank the wonderful teachers who really cared as to how he was adjusting and made every effort to help the process. My son LOVES going to the school now and has progressed so rapidly in language and social skills. He always comes home with wonderful art projects they have made during the day and is forever talking about his friends in his school. We are now trying to potty train him and again the teachers are extremely
