There are four beautiful cabins to rent at Mystic Moose Resort in Hayward, Wisconsin. We have two older cabins at the resort that have been recently renovated and two recently constructed newer cabins. All cabins have screened porches, gas grill, and modern bathrooms with showers, satellite TV and wireless internet.
A newly constructed log-type, 2 bedroom cabin. The cabin has a nice living room with a futon/sofa sleeper & satellite TV with DVD player. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the major appliances including microwave, stove and coffee maker (drip type). There is a nice sized modern bathroom. Two large bedrooms with Queen beds & Bunk beds that sleeps up to 9 -11 people.
The Critter Cabin includes a nice size family room and a large screen porch. The beautiful knotty pine interior on the addition gives you that north woods look and feel. We also installed a new roof and new vinyl siding. A very neat, older 2 bedroom cabin that you will find very comfortable. The cabin is set back just a little ways from the water for privacy.

We are proud to offer quality boat, pontoon, motor and canoe rentals to our resort guests or anyone from the general public visiting the Hayward, Wisconsin area. I love this place my family has been going for 12 years now we love it that’s the place we call up north the place we want to go we have so meany memories here with are family I see so meany photos of when I was just a little baby going here and now I just think what if we didn’t pick this place this resort it just wouldn’t be the same

This place is absolutely breathtaking. Joel and Sara take care of everything there. The nicest people. The cabins were very clean. The views were spectacular. They had canoes and kayaks and games to play and a paddle boat for free to use. Plus tons more things to do. It was so amazing to walk out the front door to the pier to fish. I’m already looking forward to next year. Thank you Joel and Sara!!

This was our first vacation in 12 years. I have to say if you love to fish, yet hate crowds and jet skiers everywhere, this is a little chunk of heaven nestled in the north woods. Joel and Sara Miller are the new owners, and I must say some of the best people I've met in a long time. The cabins are spotless, the grounds are well manicured, live bait on sight, are just a few of the many reasons why we will be coming back. The fishing was great!! Joel put us on the fish immediately. First time fishing stained water made me nervous. By the end of the week, I am confident next year will be even better

The old worn out rope Jim provided to tie the boat to the dock broke, causing the boat to get some scratches on the side when it rubbed against the dock. If they had provided a decent rope this would have happened and yet he blamed us and charged us hundreds of dollars for the damage and additionally did not return my deposit. The most unpleasant rental experience of my life. Don't trust him to be honest.

Dishonest owner. While we were there we rented a fishing boat and their rope which held it to the dock broke during a storm. This caused the boat to move around more in the storm and some scratches on the side of the boat which they want to charge us $300 for even though the damage was a result of their faulty equipment. I would recommend avoiding doing any type of business with this owner (Jim).

We did not stay at the Mystic Moose, but we most likely will at some point in the future. We DID stay down the road from MM and we were told to stop in and talk to the owner Jim about renting their pontoon. We rented the pontoon for you day and we couldn't have been happier with the experience. Jim did a great job preparing us and giving us a detailed map of the lake and the hazards.
MM has a shack where you can clean fish, buy ice and bait. There's a box where you put your money for ice and bait. MM also has a nice swingset for the kids and a great fire circle and picnic tables. We
