I'm Nick Higman and I spend most of my days looking at life through my camera lens or chasing a couple of mischievous children around. Actually, I have the most fun when I am taking pictures of the mischievous kiddos in action! Of course I am talking about my wonderful daughters Reese & Sage. It seems that parenting and photography have a lot in common, there are never 2 days the same.

Photographing weddings is on my list of favorite things to do. I love being with my couples all day, photographing their most intimate moments and telling the story back through my style of wedding photography. I can't say enough about how wonderful Nick is. Because of COVID we were in need of a wedding photographer with little notice and we couldn't have been luckier to book Nick. He was along the ride for our crazy, and chaotic ceremony, but was also more than happy to jump on a boat to Emerald Bay to take our wedding pictures. We had so much fun hiking... or walking through the forest capturing the beauty of Tahoe. He climbed over rocks and in bushes just to get the perfect shot. Nick was absolutely amazing and so much fun to work with! Our wedding venue was quite remote and he was still more than happy to come all the way out to it to do our engagement photos and then again for the actual wedding. His work was gorgeous and we absolutely loved our pictures! He got them to us fast too! He was professional, skilled, personable and an absolute joy to work with! He had us laughing throughout our photos which made for some really wonderful shots! We would recommend him for any event, anywhere and to anyone!!!

My fiancé and I contacted Nick for an engagement photo session and it was a great experience from beginning to end. Email was the easiest way to get in contact and Nick was so flexible with days/times/locations. We met up with him on the day of the shoot and shot at a few locations in South Reno. He was pleasant, very funny and kind, and totally made the session what we hoped for. He went to extreme lengths to help us make the most of our shoot, even crawling through feet of snow and crouching on icy rocks. It was awesome!

After a few emails and a phone conversation, we agreed an appointment date and time. Nick never followed through with a price list and confirmation for the photo appointment. The day before the appointment, I emailed and “canceled”. Nick seemed like a nice person and his work looks nice from his web site, but I really don’t appreciate my time being wasted for over two weeks!!!

Nick's enthusiasm for our wedding was contagious. He gets excited about love, about lighting, and about details.
His business communication is quick with turnaround and he is thorough in planning for your big day.
After meeting him twice over a beer my husband and I fell in photographer love. His prices are more than reasonable but we would have paid anything to have this guy be part of our day.
Watching him take photos was like watching a kid in a candy store, Nick loves his work and it shows.

Working with Nick was an absolute pleasure. He was with us from the start of our wedding year through our engagement and wedding photos.
