Scott Semrau tried his first murder case to a full jury while a student at Tulane Law School in New Orleans, earning the Phelps Dunbar Award for outstanding advocacy. After graduating with honors, Scott worked as a Public Defender for three years in Atlanta, Georgia, before starting The Semrau Law Firm.

Alimony, in Washington Statue, is usually referred to as spousal maintenance or spousal support. It is defined as a money payment from one spouse to the other after divorce or as we say in Washington, dissolution of the marriage. Scott is an incredible lawyer who got your back in whatever situation you had to go through. I had a custody case that he got me the best deal. He never once got distracted in what was happening and stayed focused through out the process. He was very professional and responsive in timely manner. More than everything he was an honest lawyer who will look out the best for you. All I can say is thank you for being a kind and understanding lawyer! I would highly recommend him.

I've just finished with my divorce after going through a custody battle with Scott as my attorney. It was an emotionally devastating and scary experience, but Scott was in my corner the entire time. He is professional and very knowledgeable and experienced. I really expected a worse outcome, but Scott fought for me the whole way through the trial and I had a very favorable outcome!
