When you buy or sell through Kiawah Island Getaways Real Estate, you get the very best of both worlds. Shawn and Jeanette offer their 19-years of experience owning, living and renting on Kiawah, and Joe and Claire provide their 15-years of working with buyers and sellers in real estate in the Charleston area.
We walk through your home, and put together a list of recommended repairs for you. Then we break down what your home would sell for "as-is" and what your home would sell for after these repairs are completed. We then make the agreed upon improvements for our clients and defer some or all of the associated costs until their home closes.
Planning to sell can be stressful, and since everyone's circumstances are unique, it's important to have an overall plan that meets your needs. Begin by thinking about some of the terms and condition of the sale, such as timing. When are you hoping to move? Do you need to sell prior to making another home purchase?

We have been renting with Mr Porter since we moved to South Carolina back in 2013, he was helpful with the transition and we still doing business with him. We recently relocated to North Charleston to one of his houses for rent and the process was fast. I know when the time comes to buy our own house we are going to proceed with him as well! Best of the bests here in South Carolina, I recommend 200%!

We have been in the home for 21 years and were dreading the move, or at least all that comes with moving. Claire and Joe Porter made the process easier than I thought possible; always there with just the right advice or an encouraging word. (even though we did not make it very easy on them!) They are both extremely patient, professional, kind and understanding. We found exactly what we were looking for in just a few weeks and had a contract on our existing home in less then 24 hours, $4,000 over our asking price, by the way. Joe and Claire are amazing to work with. Incredibly knowledgable and responsive. They are super friendly and guided my wife and I (rookies) throughout the sales process.
