For all of us engineers, designers, project managers, and buyers, we can learn to understand DFM (Design for Manufacturing) best practices to leverage lower priced parts to save time and money all around.
When our shop is at maximum capacity, we want to continue to take orders by passing orders along to trusted partners when they are slow. When our shop is slow, we would like to keep our employees working with work from other shops at capacity. Why not help each other succeed, grow and benefit together?
Looking for individuals with the mindset, I am a master machinist paid to make quality parts at a quick pace and never have to re-work a job; I catch my mistakes quickly and produce minimal scrap. I am a team player, easy to work with and communicate clearly. Have the ability to setup, operate, and perform complex editing of programs without supervision.
Every manufacturing process has its place in the development cycle, but unlike it's brothers and sisters, CNC machining is a quasi-universal process that can be a sensible choice to use at any given phase of your development cycle. When tolerances and assembly are important - CNC machining makes the most sense to use when tolerances are tight and material properties are fundamental in end use or testing.

Parametric Manufacturing produced parts with tighter tolerances than other shops, quick turnaround and reasonable pricing. They were easy to work with and friendly. They even provided some great DFM feedback which helped us save machine time on parts we were making in-house.
