Here at Studio Freyja we believe that memories are meant to be enjoyed, relived and remembered through print. They're meant to be handed down to your children one day for them to enjoy with their children. These photographs are family heirlooms, meant to show the unconditional love your family have for one another.
Each newborn session is completely different from the next. Your family is unique and your newborn baby will be unique. However, there are certain guidelines I follow to ensure a successful session. Expecting a child is definitely one of the most exciting times of your life. A baby is considered a newborn within the first 14 days of their life and this is when you should schedule your newborn photography session. The ideal age I strive to book a newborn for is between 7-12 days. As a San Diego Newborn Photographer I specialize in posed newborn photography with your infant in focus.

Johanna is the very best! She is such a professional when it comes to portrait sessions of all kinds. She has done numerous sessions for me, including family and maternity photos both in studio and outdoors, and most recently did my newborn's studio portraits. I am always completely smitten with my pictures from our sessions together. She is such sweet person who incredibly easy to work with, and absolutely brilliant with babies! We chose Studio Freyja to do our newborn photo shoot and could not be happier! Johanna is very professional and it is clear that she has built upon years of experience. Johanna is such a talented photographer! She shot my engagement photos, a boudoir session, and more recently family photos with crying babies and loud dogs. She is quick and knows exactly how to capture perfect moments that will last a lifetime. When I showed my mom her photos, she cried. Fantastic! Amazing! Incredible! Yes, all three are words I would use to describe Studio Freyja. My wife and I hired Johanna to shoot our brand new baby, and we couldn't be happier with the entire experience. Calm, focused, and on top of her game. Johanna was really great to work with! She's also LGBT friendly.. or really she's in love with love haha She photographed my fiancé and I for our engagement session and we are so in love with the moments she was able to catch. Moments like us laughing, entertaining ourselves with a game of rock-paper-scissors, cuddling and kissing... or just enjoying the view! She offered us her other services without being pushy which meant the world because I hate feeling forced or pushed into something I'm unsure about or know I don't want! She was respectful but my favorite thing about her was how excited

Studio Freyja did a photoshoot of our little family consisting of me, my wife and our two little pugs. Johanna was great to work with, knew how to get our dogs attention and really used the scenery around us (and sunset) to create some gorgeous photographs. We were very happy to use Studio Freyja as our photographer and would definitely recommend them!

Johanna is an Excellent photographer! She is very easy and fun to work with and will do whatever she can to make sure you have a good experience. She really just wants capture the best images possible and for you to love them.
My family has had 7 different sessions with her and we loved the results of every single one of them!
