I have been in this industry for 13 years now. My wife, Jennifer, and I run this business out of our home just about 1 mile north of Lewisville Park. We have two boys which are 16 and 13 years old. Both attend Battle Ground Schools. Justin, the oldest is at Battle Ground High School, and Matthew, our youngest attends Chief Umtuch Middle School.
We have four employees, three out in the field to respond to alarm calls and pumpings, and one in the office that handles the scheduling. One of our goals is to educate customers on septic systems. There are many varieties of systems out there ranging from standard (Gravity Systems) to complicated (Sand filters, and timed dosing).

We pump, inspect, and service all types of septic tank systems. We service Vancouver, Battle Ground, Camas, Washougal, La Center, Ridgefield, Yacolt, Amboy, and surrounding areas within Clark, Skamania, and Cowlitz counties. Specializing in septic pumping, septic inspections, septic cleaning, and onsite sewage treatment, our goal is to offer our customers quality septic services at competitive prices with a touch of humor.
Ronnie, this is not a dire emergency, but I am leaving town on Tuesday and don't want to leave my wife in the lurch. We have 3 gravity tanks, the first two are full. There was a blockage between 2 and 3 which I managed to unclog and get flowing again. I'm thinking we need tanks 1 and 2 pumped, but you are the expert here.
We got a call from David Smidke from channel 12. He stated he was having a septic nightmare that has lasted over 4 years. He had opened the phone book and called out 2 companies before me. One company charged him over 3,000 dollars to pump his septic tank and jet the drainfield. The next company charged him to pump the Septic tank again.
Inspection Only: This is where we inspect the septic system for the County Health Department inspection program and Real Estate Transactions. Open up the lids on your tank and take measurements and record them. We'll also let you now how everything is doing. This does not include pumping or repairs of any kind.
Does the type of clothes washer I use matter? This is not an easy explanation, but here I go. Yes, top load washers are generally water wasters and too much water does hurt your septic system. Here's how. Imagine you do 3 loads of laundry in one day. Recently I installed a salt-water purifier in my house.

I called on late Thursday night. The owner himself answered and walked me through everything, and eased my stresses out mind. They were here Friday. They were great. Everyone of them. Amazing service! Called the at 11am on a Saturday as our drain backed up. My wife was stressed as we had a 4pm bday party for our daughter. They were out in 2 hours as promised. Pumped our tank and explained the baffle was clogged with no way to access it other than getting someone in the tank. They called in an employee on his day off I'm assuming. He was lowered in with a harness and safety suit. They fixed the problem that any other company would have told me to call a plumber or contractor. 5 stars isn't a high enough rating for this company. I left a message for Ronnie not knowing what to expect. We really weren't sure we had a septic problem but we were worried that a light was on in our septic box. Again, First Call Septic exceeded all expectations! Septic alarm went off late last night, and they were out by 1:30pm next day to check it out - turned out we needed a new septic pump and a new float...Chris fixed it on the spot and the total bill was incredibly reasonable, even for a next-day repair! I have used First Call Septic for many years on my house in Battle Ground. Being an out of state owner I needed someone I could trust and reply on.
Last year the septic needed repairs which First Call performed at reasonable rates.
Recent service I called yesterday, Monday AM, and the inspection was completed the next day.

Ronnie and the team of First Call Septic are wonderful and I highly recommend them! We learned just after Christmas that the line from our house to our septic tank had come ajar, and that waste water wasn't making it into the tank. Ronnie's team was able to diagnose the situation the next day, and came back the following day to excavate around the tank and line to make the needed repairs -- in just one hour! Professional, respectable, fast and all around a very nice team to work with. Add them to your contact list!

Had an appointment with another pumping service today. They didn't show and told me the next available appointment was next Friday. I told them the urgent nature of my request, and they really didn't give a hoot.

First Call Septic Services is an exceptional business with fast, courteous service and reasonable prices. We had our pump stop working at 11 am, called and had Chris at our property 2 hours later. This is the second time I've used First Call Septic. I have nothing but glowing things to say! The first time was a few months ago when my septic came due for inspection. The original owners of my home used them, so I called them up. The person on the other end was professional and set a great tone for the business. Ronnie came out at the agreed upon time. This was a referral from the company that installed our septic system, a few years back. I called for an inspection and it was great and well priced. Super thorough, well explained and even came with a video! I was nervous to have a company come out because I didn't want to get taken advantage of (in regards to paying more for services and/or parts) ect ..the inspection was explained in detail and all my questions answered. PLUS, I could see what he was talking about afterwards with the short video. I will definitely be using them when I have my septic pumped.

If you notice reviews about First Call Septic on Yelp and even other sites, they talk about the service and quality, but really most every one talks about the people. Ronnie is a super nice guy, he really is exceptional, it shows in how he addresses the customer, and how he conducts business. I am a business owner, I like to think I'm a nice guy, but Ronnie left me thinking on how I can improve with my customers. I am responsible for 60+ properties in the Vancouver area. Well, I am not surprised at all the 5-star reviews for First Call Septic! I came over here to Yelp to leave my kudos as to not just the great septic tank service, but for Ronnie as a just plain good guy! We first had the company out about six years ago, and I so enjoyed speaking with Ronnie and learning interesting things about septic tanks (who knew?!) that I knew we wouldn't go with another company when we could first call First Call. :-)
