Taste of Scandinavia is a European Style bakery where quality is a tradition and products have an unbeatable taste. Taste, premium ingredients and artistic exposure are the key elements in our bakery. Taste of Scandinavia Bakery Cafs has been offering delicious Scandinavian treats in Minneapolis / St. Paul market since 1990, that is over 30 years of goodness!
We recommend that you plan well in advance to ensure the availability of your date ( 2 to 4 months). Less time is required for smaller cakes. We chose to order our Christmas Dinner from TOS which was an EXCELLENT choice. I could not have purchased the groceries for such a meal for less than $200, and my culinary skills could never match the quality of TASTE. True confession -- Dec 23rd we served early Christmas dinner to unplanned family visitors with small children. They didn't expect anything, but it was such a TREAT for ME to provide truly delicious food that included SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE!

I think this is the superior location, even though the other is more convenient. Not because of the staff (both locations are great), but because of the clientele. In North Oaks… be prepared to have to be a little more assertive to get served as the people there have no problem cutting in front of you. I say this as a many time visitor.

Walking in, this place has a nice vibe. They have a variety of food items you can purchase to take home. (soup, pastries, cakes, etc.) When I've been there in the mornings they have large portioned pastry samples to try. We usually grab a sample after we order our food. Looking at the menu I usually feel like the food costs more than I would want to spend on breakfast. ($8-$10) However, when the food comes out I quickly forget about the price. The plate sizes aren't huge but I've always really enjoyed what I've ordered. The fresh fruit crepe... oh my goodness that was happy experience. All in all
