A graduate of the prestigious Pomona College with a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics, Dave spent many years after graduation honing his communication and executive skills in specialized executive training and work experience. Dave holds the highest federal tax credential, Enrolled Agent, which certifies his tax expertise and allows him to represent his clients as an attorney before the IRS.
An EA is an Enrolled Agent, which is the top credential issued by the federal government to certify a tax expert. An EA is a tax expert, and can also represent you before the IRS just like an attorney can. Many people confuse the EA with the CPA. They are similar, but the CPA is state licensed, while the EA is federally licensed and can represent a taxpayer in any state.

Absolutely the best tax service available. Yes, the crew are more expensive than a run of the mill CPA or Turbo Tax - but worth every penny - you honestly get what you pay for. If you are a S-corp or sole proprietor LLC especially there is no organization better to handle your taxes and any tax issues than Torchlight Tax - hands down.

A friend recommended Torchlight Tax to me as I had a difficult tax write-off to figure out. Dave knew exactly what combinations of financial statements and other supporting documentation were required and he carefully and patiently guided me through the process of gathering everything that was needed. His assistant, Charlene, kept things speeding along as questions and answers went back and forth. It's the busiest time of year, tax-wise, and service was prompt and friendly. Definitely recommend Torchlight, especially if you have something gnarly to figure out.
