I'm a Washington DC wedding photographer and I take photographs you'd want to grab on your way out of a burning building (although I sincerely hope that you NEVER have to flee a burning building). But really, I love that I get to tell the story of people's wedding day (and proposals!) with art that is both meaningful and unexpected.
Choosing a photographer is one of the most important decisions of the wedding planning process. You want to be absolutely sure you find someone you're comfortable with because they'll be with you the entire day. This is both a privilege and responsibility I don't take lightly. I understand the value of connecting with you in order to find out what's really important when capturing your wedding day.
Even though, as a DC surprise proposal photographer, I've photographed over 100 proposals, capturing these once-in-a-lifetime moments is still just as much fun as the first time. We'll meticulously plan your proposal weeks in advance because the last thing you need to worry about is your photographer.
I love what I do and getting to know each other is an important part of that work. So spare me no detail! I got a proposal shoot done by Chris and it was a pretty seamless process. I have never been to Washington D.C. before and he made the process stress free. He presented me with a contract which made me feel much more confident I wasn't going to be scammed and communicated with me prior to finalize all the details. He was at the location before I was, made it easy to find him, and took spectacular photos. I would highly recommend Chris to anyone looking to have professional photos taken!

We could not have been happier with the job Chris did photographing our intimate (8 people) marriage ceremony at Little Pearl in late April, 2021.
We gave Chris the nearly impossible task of getting candid photos of us and our family in a small space while also finding a way to not be the 9th guest at our wedding. He did it! Chris's photos perfectly captured just how special and joyful the day was without him distracting from it. And when we spontaneously decided we did want to do some portraits, he knew exactly what to do.

Chris was a fantastic photographer to work with and capture my big surprise proposal! He was very responsive and very flexible to handle any requests I had. We got the first pass of the "main" photos within a couple hours of the proposal and they turned out incredible. I can't be happier with how everything turned out and I highly recommend Chris to anyone for surprise proposals! He had countless ideas to capture multiple angles and back drops of our mini photo shoot and set us up for the perfect shot. All in all, very incredibly pleased with Chris.

My husband and I recently lost a ton of weight and were able to fit back into our wedding tuxedos. We hired Chris to capture some fun moments of us at our original wedding venue and some other spots around town.
Once at our wedding venue (DAR), Chris captured us at our best. He focused on all the best angles, lighting, background, etc. Chris made us look better than we did on our wedding day! Man, we wish we hired him almost 6 years ago!

Organized a photo shoot for me and my dog with Chris! His prices were really reasonable, and when the weather was threatening to turn bad he was very accommodating when I decided to reschedule for a sunnier day. Wow what a great memory capturer! Chris does more than take pictures, he really captures the moment and the emotions packed all in pictures! Not only did he capture the wedding, he also set a time and did our engagement photos as well, which turned out specatuar. Chris is great navigating the ceremony and not being in the way while making sure he's there for every special moment!! If you aren't using Chris you're missing out! He works great with Julie Park at Birch Event & Design, we would say we would use him again, but hopefully under different event conditions lol!

I booked Chris to take some professional headshots for a new job. He was super-flexible with scheduling, met me at a location I picked, and was patient and reassuring with a variety of spots and angles. Chris photographed our wedding on 9/4/10. Despite having a windy day and some rain, Chris still captured GORGEOUS photographs. He is an artist, look through his sample photos - they are not just the standard photos, they are creative and heartfelt.

I have had the pleasure of working with Chris on several occasions and fairly early in his photography career. We initially collaborated on a photoshoot done in LBI during a late winter month in 2006 or so. My husband and I hired Chris for our wedding photography, and it was a great decision. There are a lot of typical dated wedding photographers out there, and we wanted to avoid that. We wanted modern, interesting wedding photo's with a different point of view than your typical Pinterest shots (IE: the wedding party jumping in the air, cutesy Instagram-type shots, etc..). Chris was exactly the right photographer for us.
