I started in Omaha, being sent to Boystown when I was 15. I received a solid education but I excelled in the trade school receiving a diploma for 950 hours in woodworking and construction methods under Edward Hinkel, ( Master Carpenter) and my first real job was at 18 as a framing carpenter. I started Midlands Siding Co 32 years ago and I've paid back Ed's mentoring by training and mentoring many young men along the way.

We went with Midlands Siding because we knew that Phil would make our house stand out above the other boring vinyl siding jobs in our neighborhood. He did not disappoint! Our house turned out beautifully! Phil made sure we were happy and satisfied every step of the way. From picking the perfect color to the custom shutters he made and painted himself. We just had Midlands Siding completely transform our home. We needed to replace some cheap vinyl siding that was a do it yourself project gone wrong by the previous owner. I cannot say enough good things about Phil and his crew. Not only do we have properly installed beautiful siding, but he also replaced the gutters and downspouts for us at no… charge since the old ones just didn't look quite right with the new siding! Severe hail damage prompted our search to find an excellent siding product and installer. After reading Midlands Siding's blog posts on proper installation, we called Phil Lorsung and set up a meeting. Our house is 50+ years old and was in need of new gutters, all new siding, paint and a very large picture window. We also wished to change a… large existing window into a sliding door, adding a deck. We hired Midland Siding to removed the original clapboards and replace with James Hardie, and build a new deck off the kitchen. Let me start this out by saying, we are extremely picky about our contractors. We have been renovating our 1892 victorian for the past 4 years, in those years I have learned some tips of separating the good contractors… from the bad. My family has used Midland's siding for multiple jobs over the years and always been very pleased. Today, Phil came out to my house to investigate a roof leak and repaired three areas of siding that had come loose and he told me today was free of charge! We are definitely going to have him come back for the roof. Knowledgeable, friendly, and honest! Would recommend!
