Andrew Gear, MD, brings more than two decades of experience to his leadership role at Providence Plastic Surgery & Skin Center. The practice is highly regarded in the greater Charlotte, North Carolina, area, largely because of Dr. Gear's attention to detail and personalized treatment approach. Education has always played a central role in Dr. Gear's life.
For better and for worse, family molds who we are. Dr. Gear comes from a long lineage of professors and physicians. Medicine is literally in his blood. His great, great grandfather was an Obstetrician in Scotland. His great grandfather, Sir William Leishman, a Scottish infectious disease doctor, discovered (and named) a tropical, parasitic disease transmitted by sandflies, Leishmaniasis.
How many CoolSculpting Masters are there in the US? Not many and Emily Dial is one of few! She's performed over 7,000 CoolSculpting treatments. And she can speak to the results (she's done it on herself!). When she's not freezing fat catch her on walks with her dogs, escaping to the Mountains with her husband or cheering on a baseball team.
When Dr. Gear and his wife Heather found this office space in early 2017 it was love at first site. A former pediatrician's office the walls were yellow, floors carpeting, and primary-colored linoleum and there was no sign of glamour. But they knew with a little 'mommy makeover' it would be stunning.
Our backsides are uniquely ours. You get what you get, so to speak. Our buttocks do not respond to any exercise regimens. Many of us have flatter bottoms than we'd like. We'd to have more shape back there, but really the only way to do so is to gain weight, and that's the worst idea ever. I have seen Nina for years and she’s helped me with various skin challenges while giving me the best facials and educating me along the way. Recently she did a laser treatment on me for the first time and I was shocked by the results. I have sensitive skin that’s prone to redness and after one treatment my pores are smaller my complexion is smoother and my redness is almost gone. I thought it was time for Botox but the lines that were bothering me are also greatly reduced. The process was quick and easy and the results exceeded my expectations!

I have felt well taken care of including a quick referral for Botox to “take away” my 11 between my brows! Also it is important to me to have many new procedures available. Great place if you’re choosing to get any type of cosmetics surgery or procedures! The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable and I could go on for days about Dr. Gear! He’s so patient and really makes you feel as if he’s known you for years. I got my tummy tuck on April 1st and am in love with my results. I was nervous at first and they assured me that everything I experienced was normal and my results are amazing! I would highly recommend Providence Plastic Surgery and Dr Gear. They respond to any questions and I’m almost 6 months post op!

I’ve been Nina’s client for several years and trust her with my skin completely. Over the years, I have done hydro facials, dermaplaning, laser hair removal, Vivace RF microneedling and face massages with Nina. The results are excellent. My favorite treatment is Vivace. PPS offers great specials almost every month, which makes treatments and medical grade products more affordable. I highly recommend Nina as an experienced esthetician.

Dr. Gear is extremely professional, honest, affordable and one of the most humble people I know, this is my second procedure being done by him. In my opinion going to a different country to get your body worked on is so dangerous which is why I decided to do my bbl done here. I will soon be getting a tummy tuck done with Dr. Gear and I know with him I will be safe, taken care of and beautiful results. I 100 percent recommend Dr. Gear! He’s the best :)

I saw Nina today for Dermaplaning. It was my first time having this procedure and she explained everything in detail. I found it to be very relaxing and so far my skin feels good. It feels like your face had a deep cleaning. I would wear sunblock if you plan to be in the sun for a long period. The staff is friendly and down to earth. I felt very relaxed as I waited to go in. Nina is the best and so sweet and knows her skincare! Mischell is the BEST Injectionist hands down. Both these girls not only know their stuff and have so much experience under their belts, but they also make you feel right at home and comfortable during consult and treatments. Hello , first off I want to say that Dr.Gear and his staff are amazing !!! We had just moved here from Kentucky so I did a lot of research and Dr.Gear was by far the best !!! I had a breast Augmentation in 2011 && decide I wanted to switch to Silicone instead of saline . I was a small A when I started . He put in 560 Ultra High Profile && I’m so… happy with his work !!! Dr Gear and his entire staff are absolutely amazing! Everyone in that office goes above and beyond. I went to doctor Gear to fix an issue I had from having a bad surgery with another plastic surgeon. We all know how hard it is to fix someone else mistakes but thankfully Dr Gear is amazingly gifted and was able to make me look and feel so much better! He is honest, patient, and in my opinion the best doctor on the east coast!
