As a young black woman it can be hard to find doctors who even believe me when I say I'm in pain, but Dr Macek and his staff are excellent. I feel like they take my pain seriously and are genuinely interested in helping me improve my quality of life. They immediately provided pain management solutions that other doctors never even bothered to mention as options, and my copay is very reasonable.

I have seen Dr. Macek for years and he is fantastic. He really listens to his patients. My very first appointment with him was very detailed, and I greatly appreciated that he started with conservative treatment. He is not the kind of doctor that will just write a script for something crazy and send you off, nor will he do crazy procedures without the need for them. Some people probably don’t like that and think they know best and just want a script for strong painkillers. Dr. Macek wants to do the best option for the individual, and I’d much rather have treatment that starts off conservative

This was the worst pain specialist experience for my mom. She has been in chronic pain for years and she was referred to Macek who is not at all compassionate or helpful in the least. He offered her trigger point injections over and over which did nothing. When she fractured hip,he didn't even care to hear about it His claims for insurance were outrageous for thousands of dollars for things she wasn't treated for which is fraud I wouldn't have my cat treated by him. I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy Check your insurance claims because he certainly made alot of money on my 76 yrs old mom

Dr Macek is one of the finest Dr’s I’ve ever meet. He does great comfortable work. I’ve been seeing him for over 10 years with very bad Lower Back Pain and have left him filling 100% better. In my belief there is no finer more professional Doctor in the country. He actually manages the pain he doesn’t do the wrong things like some Doctors do. Thanks to him and his staff.

After several years of being in constant pain I was referred to 3 different pain management specialists who we’re supposed to be “ The Best”. The first one was SRO every time I went there, and his manner was very paternalistic and disrespectful. He charged a lot more than my insurance would pay, and his office staff was stressed and rude. The second supposed expert gave off such predatory vibes, I never completed his evaluation. The third was again herding people in and out as fast as they could. On my third visit, that Doctor called me by someone else’s name.

Dr Macek is a kind, caring, intelligent and wonderful pain management physician. He is a great listener and has a great sense of humor. I have been seeing him for 4 years.
