The Port-A-Vac was born out of necessity. People have been coming to our store to buy a vacuum for churches and large areas. The best vacuum did not exist, so we created an ingenious product called the Port-A-Vac. If you vacuum large areas with a heavy vacuum or buy a new one every 6 months, meet your next vacuum.

I called up a first time customer, asking Mike about parts for an old machine I was thinking about buying. He kindly took the time to fill me in on some things I could do to get what I need and save some money, and was even kind enough to text me after the fact with more information. That goes a long way with me. Any issues I might come to have with my vacuum or sewing machines, I know right where I’ll be going. By far, the best in the business around here!

My Wife Sewing Machine…. she thought needs repaired…We look up Greenville Vacuum and Sewing Machine Sales and Services on Browser and stop by while in Greenville NC from Ahoskie NC for Dr Appointment ….as we enter store the Gentlemen showed great professionalism and courtesy…at the same just overlooked our Sewing Machine noticing it was not properly threaded correctly according to specifications…He set Sewing Machine up correctly and checked other maintenance requirements at no charge…My Wife and I were very pleased with the over and above professional an courtesy services performed

I bought a vacuum from Mike in 2005 - now 16 years later the vacuum stopped working. I took the vacuum to a local (180 miles away) and they said the vacuum was trash. I called Mike to buy another, and within 2 minutes he diagnosed the vacuum over the phone and told me how to repair it. Good as new again. We own a Sebo Felix. Best vacuum ever.

Mike is a genius with a sewing machine! This is 2nd time I have had to take my machine in. Both visits were 110% satisfactory! Mike and his wife are both professional and courteous. Turnaround is faster than anywhere else I have found. Can’t say enough good things about Greenville Vacuum and Sewing!

I emailed Mike for a frustrating repair with my Shark vacuum that was just passed the warranty period. Mike was knowledgeable and informative. He was responsive to emails. Even though my vacuum turned out to be unfixable (stick Shark vacuum cord base), the owner was really friendly and forthcoming about what the problem was, the design flaw that created it (apparently it's a common problem), and why the cord couldn't be replaced. He was knowledgeable and kind and I'll definitely go here in the future for my vacuum/sewing needs.

I accompanied my friend who was looking to have an ancient vacuum cleaner repaired. Mike was straightforward and honest about the fact that it was time to lay that pitiful thing to rest. Mike spent lots of time with us, showing us difference vacuums that perform at different levels and obviously in different price ranges as well. He was quite entertaining and personable as well. After it was all said and done, he was able to recommend a vacuum that was just right that my friend ended up purchasing. His wife was very nice too, diligently working on a sewing project. On entry you're greeted with the kindest and most knowledgeable power couple you can meet in town - both of which are highly skilled in their respective crafts.
When I bought my first real vacuum yesterday for my first apartment (after 7 months 😂) Mike was so helpful showing off different vacuums and their features, even explaining in great detail the ins and outs of how they work and the value each one holds. His eye for detail is unworldly and he ensures you leave without any questions. I came in blind thinking I'd just buy a vacuum like you

Knowledgeable, affordable, friendly and guaranteed to make you laugh. I purchase my new Miele vacuum from here and Mike was the absolute best! He showed me how to assemble, change bags, demonstrated tools and even gave me common mistakes people make that accidentally damages their equipment.
