Springfield Ballet is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing the art of ballet through premier education, performance, outreach and collaboration. Our home is in The Creamery Arts Center, offering state of the art dance facilities including Harlequin sprung floors. Our classes are not recital driven; all classroom time is spent on dance instruction.
Performance opportunities are offered each semester, and all performances take place at the historic Landers Theatre.

In 1976, the Springfield Civic Ballet, Inc. was founded as a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to the efforts of creating a ballet company to perform throughout the four state area; to offer a comprehensive dance curriculum; to make available first-class performances by visiting professional dance companies, films, etc.; and to help focus interest on the arts.

Springfield Ballet is in search of well-qualified candidates for weekly teaching, substitute teaching and Friday student workshops. Springfield Ballet prefers applicants with, or who are currently pursuing, a degree in dance, elementary education, or early childhood education or applicants with extensive dance background.

Springfield Ballet's school exists today as a comprehensive training program for area dancers to build a strong foundation in classical ballet and complementary elective dance styles. The school's curriculum is built around the core values of professionalism, excellence, and discipline and provides an atmosphere that fosters self-confidence, grace, focus and a thoughtful attitude toward instructors and other students.
