BEST Indian food in San Diego, hands down. My husband and I have traveled all over the US and Europe eating Indian and this place is top tier. Mr. Singh is always up front and gives fantastic customer service. The food is always consistently good and of high quality. I recommend the chicken tika, alo gobi and mutter paneer. You can't go wrong with what you order, it's all yummy!

Wanted to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and have a nice sit down dinner. We both love Indian food and were looking forward to dining at this restaurant. Instead, the two TVs in the restaurant were blasting loudly. We politely asked the employee working there to turn the volume down. He only partially turned the volume down, but it was still too loud to have a comfortable dinner. We had to ask him to turn the volume down a second time. We were met with attitude and bitterness. I would not recommend this place if you're wanting to have a nice time with your friends and family. The environment

I tried this place out while visiting a client in Poway and I'm super glad I did. I walked in and ordered the Lunch Special which was like $8 and added a side for $3.
The guy at the counter (who has zero personality) told me it would be about 20-30 minutes. I didn't wait to wait that long, but I did anyway because I was already here. They are doing a LOT of take out business here.
Imagine my delight when they gave me my lunch no less than 5 minutes later. It was HUGE -- and I really shouldn't have ordered the side because there was so much food I couldn

Since my use to go Indian restaurant decided to add cumin to all the dishes in excessive quantities I decided to try this one.
The place is located is a small plaza with plenty if parking, we ordered to go.
We have tried it at le3 times and the dishes include rice, the first time the rice was very bland and the last time they added cumin seeds to it which I didn't enjoy, what is wrong with the USA Indian restaurants that insist on adding cumin to everything, it is such an overpowering spice that takes over any flavor if not used lightly unless you are specifically ask for a cumin dish

Me and my boyfriend have been here multiple times and I LOVE the food. My dad grew up in India so that's the food I ate as a kid. The parents live out of state and this is the only restaurant that tastes like home. I recommend the Reishmi chicken kabob, Jerry rice and the butter chicken. Please check them out, you won't regret it!

There’s a lot of good Indian restaurants in Rancho Bernardo, and they all have their own regional interpretation of traditional dishes and specialties. Tandoori Xpress makes all their food to order now, it’s not like Express where there’s hot pans scooped and ready. It’s Xpress means it’s ready when stated. I’ve been doing food delivery a year now, and I almost always accept this restaurant because the food is always hot and ready when I arrive.
And the food is excellent! The owner came in clutch this weekend when I was too tired to fix anything, and he timed it perfect to the end

We have been trying to order more meals from local restaurants because we know how difficult it's been due to Covid. Every place we have ordered from has been so kind except this place. It's our first time ordering from here and wow, we walk in to pick up our order and the man at the counter does not greet us...at...all. All he kept asking was what was our name and that was it. No hello, no thank you.
The food was really good but we won't be returning. There are many other local restaurants that we can go and support.
It really is a shame.

Love this place. The food is excellent. For lunch, during the week, the prices are crazy low. Portions are ample. Today I had the Chili Paneer. It was a paneer cheese, bell peppers, onions and tomatoes in a fabulous sweet and sour sauce that I would guess was a tamarind, tomato and butter sauce. It was medium spicy. Definitely not too hot. The sauce has an addictive quality to it. I couldn't stop eating it. It came with basmati rice cook with cumin seeds. I have had most dishes that they offer. I have never been disappointed in any of them.

Tandoori express Indian cuisine definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in Rancho Bernardo! Shigh is always so happy and greeting customers with a big smile. My go to is the butter chicken my kids love the veggie korma. This restaurant has been a family favorite for years definitely check them out if you're in the area.

We just moved in nearby and got some tikka masala chicken and lamb, and mango chicken curry, with naan and mango lassi. All of the food tasted incredible (I'm getting hungry just thinking about it). The curry was very flavorful and the meat was good quality. Four of us got three dishes and some naan and filled us up about perfectly. It came out to about $60 for the three dishes, 3 mango lassi, and naan ($15 each for us) and was well worth it (best food I've had in a while).

This is our favorite place to go for date night...I mean honestly I could go anytime but we go for date nights. They're so amazing and helpful and the food is soooo good. The first time I went in here I had just moved to the area and wanted to try something different I had my kids with me and I told the lady I had no idea what to order. She was like don't worry I got it have a seat and we'll bring it right out. It was fantastic. I definitely recommend going here.

I was impressed with the quality and quantity of my take-out order of chicken tikka masala (mild) and meaty lamb biryani. The only annoying thing is when I called, the gent who took my order answered the phone 'Hello', with no mention of the restaurant's name, so I wasn't quite sure if I had misdialed. Aside from that, no complaints, as the taste was flavorful and is better than most Indian places I've visited in the area, and the price is right.

In my opinion, one of the most important aspects of a business is customer service. I'm a pretty chill and polite individual. The customer service at this location is not that great. As a business owner, cashier, kitchen staff, etc you would expect the same kindness and warm greeting you would show towards them to be reciprocated. Nope.

The food is excellent and incredible in value. I order a bunch of food for $40 and I got (4) meals out of it. I have to admit, the staff was not welcoming and the gentleman that helped me could not crack a smile. But the food was excellent. I rather have great food than a happy staff. I also discovered a mango drink which I mistook for orange juice. Oops. The man was not happy when I asked if it was OJ. LOL

This place has an excellent indian cuisine.
We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Mixed Vegetables Korma and plain naan. They were exquisite meal. I love the fresh ingredients and sauce texture and taste.
I like this place. Friendly staff, clean, plenty of parking. I will definitely come again with friends.

A solid Indian restaurant... great for catering orders. Very good quality without compromising on authenticity/flavor too much.
Though the signs/advertisements offer the lunch special 7days a week- it's only weekdays.
Some of our favs include the gobi manchurian, chicken samosas, mango chicken curry ( can switch out the protein for anything of your choice), lamb biryani and kheema parathas among the other standard fare.
