The Garcia's, the founding family of Ajuua, have a vast background in Mexican cuisine. Having worked in several other establishments early on, father and son Liberato and Ricardo Garcia developed a vision of bringing the true flavor of Mexico to the table. With that, Ajuua was born, with the intent of bringing you the most genuine and accurate representation of Mexican cuisine.
Ajuua has since expanded but has stayed within the family, never losing sight of the goal. Cutting no corners and remaining true to it's roots, Ajuua promises to bring Mexico to you! Ajuua was first opened in 1998 by Liberato Garcia. The mission was to convert a successful mom and pop restaurant to a family owned franchise, a vision that the eldest son, Ricardo Garcia foresaw.

I just want to say how disappointed I was with this experience. I contacted the manager about how nasty our food was, all she had to say was sorry. I am really surprised how this place has good reviews. The queso was the worst and our food was wrong. How can you people eat this trash and be happy paying 70 dollars for two people?

Food is good, facility is clean, and the staff are incredible. Really appreciate their veggie options. Iāve been to Ajuua a couple times, this go around Iām reviewing my latest visit. Hereās what we ordered:
Chilis Releno - excellent taste!
Chimichanga - did not get a chance to eat as it had ground beef but we asked for beans only
Smothered Burrito - really good, meat was pretty tasty but could be better
Cucumber Margarita - really really strong, was actually a little hard to drink.
Iāve enjoyed going to Ajuua, theyād be five stars if they met all our vegetarian needs in our latest

Ajuua Mexican restaurant was extraordinary!! They were able to host a twenty person party and the food was delicious. Menu has a big assortment of plates. Some were traditional others were creative. The Ajuua burrito was huge also they had a 3 or 4 meat platter with several toppings served with warm tortillas. We will definitely return. Prices were moderately fair. AJUUA!! š²š½

I am from Colorado and there are many Mexican restaurants. This one is certainly my least favorite. It is a beautiful restaurant and the service is great. But the food is not very good. Iāve tried to go more than once and try multiple things, itās not the style of Mexican food I prefer. Not very flavorful. I got mojarra diabla and it was not crispy at all it was very soggy, wasnāt spicy, and it tasted unseasoned.

The Ajuaa had pretty decent food. I had the Asada y mƔs. It is Asada with one other item. I got the cheese enchilada to with it. It is very filling and covered with tortillas rice and beans. The asada is delicious and the enchilada is a nice complement.
The wait staff was very attentive and the food came quickly. It's a decent shot for a quick lunch.

We found this place after waiting an hour n half for Texas Roadhouse.. I live on the Mexican border and I am very gunshy about eating at places inland.. we came in right at closing not knowing they closed and were greeted by the owner seated right away and her daughter was our server.. the service was amazing the food was fast and excellent.. The portions were very large and it was extremely affordable.. I was so impressed and extremely satisfied with everything here..

While I've eaten here for years, the food and service is very good, this morning I tried their breakfast burrito. Bacon, egg, potatoes cheese. When I take mine home I like it smothered. I ordered spicy. It was delicious! Only $3.50 for handheld burritos or $4.50 for smothered. They dont open until 8 so early birds will have to wait. It was ready in 10 min. Give it a try!

I have been going to Ajuua for 2 years. They have a very nice and clean place. The Owner is at the restaurant all of the time during the week days. The Mexican food is very authentic and all of the food is great. They also have cocktails that are well priced and they have a 2 for 1 every Thursday afternoon. The cocktails are very tasty and well priced. During the situation that the coronavirus they have take out food. They will be opening for inside food in the as soon as they can have the go as soon as they get the ok from Colorado. I am looking forward to seeing them as soon as the reatraunt

We have visited the Iliff Ave Ajuua about five times since the allowed openings took place. They do an excellent job of maintaining the COVID-19 protocols of cleanliness and employee mask wearing. On all occasions wait staff has been excellent and attentive. All orders arrive in timely fashion, so far we have enjoyed the following items from their menu: Chicken Mole, various combo platters, Jalapenos Ajuua, Tacos Rancheros "especially good"! I have forgotten some others because Yelp doesn't show my earlier review. They keep you amply supplied with chips and salsa.

Two stars because our server (Samantha) was nice and awesome.
It should be one star. Here's why...
When you walk in it smells like a freshly cleaned toilet
The fajitas are $18 and tiny.
Refried beans were....:weird. Just go to Taco Bell.
Salsa was overly salty
The kicker: I ordered a lemon drop and it was so bad my whole face hurt and I made an ugly face. The people next to us made a comment and watched me chug this awful drink. Also, I ordered a vodka shot and got tequila. Sorry in advance to my husband who I plan on fighting tonight since tequila makes me fiesty.
My family loves Mexican

Gave this five stars because I've always enjoyed eating here. The food has always hit the spot. Service has always been great and value was phenomenal. I say that because we always did the groupon deal and walked away with a big meal, a little tipsy at a very reasonable price.
Mariachi bands if you like that, good margaritas, decent environment. Nothing fancy but a casual date, random night out, it's worth trying. If I lived near there still I'd eat there more.
