Thank you for the patience, flexibility and understanding you have demonstrated recently as Cristo Rey Jesuit has experienced challenges with our school bus transportation. The school and the bus company apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. Please know the bus company is working hard to hire more drivers so that all of our bus routes can run every morning and afternoon.
Cristo Rey is working with the bus company to determine what other actions might be taken to decrease disruptions and result in more students being picked up every day on time. The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development awarded "Youth at Work" grants to 40 organizations across Minnesota.

Cristo Rey Jesuit High School is a Catholic coeducational high school located in the Phillips neighborhood of Minneapolis, MN. Our students come exclusively from families of limited economic means. A member of the Cristo Rey Network of Schools, Cristo Rey Jesuit is endorsed by the Midwest Province of the Society of Jesus.
The Cristo Rey model was developed in 1995, when then-Chicago Archbishop Joseph Cardinal Bernadine encouraged the Jesuits to find a way to provide quality, Catholic secondary education for the impoverished immigrant Hispanic population of Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood. When Fr. John Foley, SJ, was missioned to be the founding President of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, its development faced a great challenge.
The major challenge we have in the twenty-first century is to make sure that every child is pointed in the right direction and given the character and competence they need to be successful in life. It begins in places like this where children come and see adults who are caring about them, and believe in them, and who give them what they need to be successful in life. - General Colin Powell (Ret.)
Cristo Rey Jesuit High School depends on generous partners, donors and volunteers to provide the very best experience to our students and graduates. Our funding model ensures an educational experience that our students could not otherwise access. Inform business associates of the opportunity to partner with Cristo Rey Jesuit High School.
The Office of Marketing and Communications serves as the principal point of contact between mainstream and online media and Cristo Rey Jesuit High School: responding to media inquiries, providing background information for reporters' investigations, arranging interviews with school administrators or faculty, and working with faculty, staff, students and alumni in getting the word out about Cristo Rey activities and accomplishments.

I am a Cristo Rey Alum, class of 2014, Cristo Rey changed my entire life and view of the world. If you don’t have goals in life they will make sure you leave with goals and they will keep in touch with you through the years to see how you are doing even after graduating! The student teacher relationships are priceless and are life long relationships. You will also leave with 4 years of corporate job experience with their work study program where you work one day each school week and one Friday a month.
