The start of a new week. Put on your gi, sweat, hang out with teammates and friends and start things off on the right path. Two great examples of what it means to be an Alliance black belt. My boy @riseagainbjj is just a few months out of beating nasopharangeal cancer and is now coming for your limbs.
However, if he could find a way to x choke you nogi, he'd rather do that. Look out for this strapping young lad at the east coast @adcc_northamerica trials. Training has basically been like 2 planets colliding mix with rounds of fighting off @jon_thor_blank leg locks. Good luck to our athletes and all of our teammates competing this weekend at the @ibjjf No Gi World Championships in Dallas.

I was in MN for work/family for a month and Alliance was the gym I went to. Damian made the 45 minute drives worth it. Very good fundamentals/instruction and all of the people I worked with gave me good tips. And Damian answered my million questions prior to arriving, so kudos to anyone who can deal with all the questions.
Whenever I am back in town, this will be the spot. If you live here, definitely recommend it.

I have only been here a few months, I am a white belt, and am lucky enough to have started my jiu jitsu journey here. This gym is top notch, the instructors know what they are talking about, have the accolades to prove it, and are super friendly. Best gym in the twin cities, highly recommend training here!

Great place to train friendly and clean. The owner Damian is not only a top-notch instructor but a top-notch human being. Don't hesitate to train here just sign up and you will be happy you did.
My son trained here and it was great if we hadn't moved so far south we would still be there, in fact we are trying to see if we can make it work with our schedule even with the longer drive.

Alliance MN is by far the best BJJ school I've trained at. The head instructor is probably the best teacher I've ever had, in any subject, in my entire life. The other instructors are great as well, and the community is excellent. Everyone here is respectful and genuinely wants everyone to have a great learning experience. I have nothing but great things to say about this school!

Professors Damian and Tim truly care about your progression in BJJ and will remember you by first name almost immediately, which is remarkable considering the amount and diversity of training partners you will experience here. If you are looking to maximize your ability and progress FAST I would look no further.
Not to mention the instructors are constantly looking to innovate new techniques and training tactics to stay on top of jiu jitsu trends, as this art never stops evolving.
The team atmosphere here is as welcoming as it gets!

This place is phenomenal. I was looking for a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school in the Twin Cities-- when I came and tried the first class here, I knew immediately this was the place. I signed up for a year on the spot.
The instructors are fantastic, and they remember EACH of the students, and always help you along-- but never baby you. They will let you struggle a little, so you can feel the wrong way to do things, and figure some things out for yourself, but they will always help you, especially if you ask. They break things down in logical ways, and are happy to take as much time as you need to explain

No excuse not to come here, something for everyone, and a wide variety of classes scheduled for every lifestyle. Night, early morning, noon, Saturday's, etc. Even if you only come once, you'll learn and have fun. There are 7 year olds, and 70 year olds, (both are better than me lol), big and small, and everything in between. Men and women, boys and girls. Beginner classes, intermediate and advanced classes too. No excuses....

Great place to train. I envy you if you get to start your BJJ journey with Damian + Alliance as the instruction is very good. I trained for 7 years before coming to Alliance and the fundamental classes continue to build my game up. Friendly teammates, overall just a great place to workout. Go Alliance.

Knew nothing of BJJ, came in cold with a buddy, and was welcomed here with respect and dignity, everyone there also had their “first day”. Fast forward a year and a half, and have learned how special this place is. Damian and Tim, along with their instructor and black belt core group have pulled me aside to help correct things on an individual level, in a way that helps me learn, and not embarrass me. Try this place, it won’t disappoint. There’s a class and time for every schedule, and plans for every budget. I’m down 20lbs too....

If you train BJJ I cannot recommend this gym enough. Great training partners, clean facility, great mat space, and great coaches. Whether your in the Alliance family or train under a different team this place is a must to stop in to get that training in. If you're a local and don't train here come check it out for yourself and if you don't train yet and are yelping this gym for reviews don't have any reservations about being new. The vibe I got from every member and coach today was nothing but welcoming and warm. Everyone's a beginner at one point or another so give them

I have been involved in the Martial Arts for over45 years. I have seen it all. If you are looking for the best JJ school in the state, this is it.
The instructors are professional and know how to teach. Teaching is a different skill set than doing. The instructors at Alliance can do both, a rare combination.
The school's culture is to help you get better and for you to have fun. They are serious about MA and training, but at the same time they make classes enjoyable.
Don't take my word for it, stop by and watch a class and decide for yourself.
