Properties with a long history of commercial and industrial use are oftentimes referred to as "brownfields". Whether the contamination and impacts associated with these brownfields are real or perceived, the associated environmental issues can become an obstacle to acquisition and redevelopment. Oftentimes, these brownfields are underutilized because these environmental issues and their associated legal and financial risks seem overwhelming.

Services
We listen to our client's environmental and engineering needs and propose clear, commonsense and viable solutions. As a small company with minimal layers of management, our experienced staff can respond quickly to our client's needs. The quality of our Phase I and Phase II Assessments stands out. We don't produce factory-style reports; we customize them to your needs.
Sherry manages Phase I ESAs, Phase II Investigations, response action plans, contingency plans, remediation design, contracting and bidding, remediation cost estimating, and overseeing response action and construction activities for large complicated redevelopment and civil works projects. Jessica specializes in conducting and managing Phase I ESAs and Phase II remedial investigations, and managing Landmark's geographic information system (GIS).
Landmark has experience with a full range of projects-from small, fast-track property transactions to the redevelopment of multifaceted brownfield sites. We have investigated and successfully cleaned up a wide variety of commercial and industrial properties of all sizes including dry cleaners, manufacturers, former dumps, office buildings, stockyards, gas stations, scrapyards, and former railroad maintenance yards, to name a few.
Landmark personnel have conducted thousands of Phase I ESAs for all types of properties. Many of the ESA's involved a level of effort and scope of work that went well beyond the basic U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) All Appropriate Inquiry (AAI) requirements and ASTM E1527 standard in order to meet the more comprehensive requirements of specific state guidance documents or client specific-requirements.
Soil investigations utilizing a Geoprobe, traditional drilling and test trenching techniques, and simple investigations using a hand auger. We offer a full range of investigation services and provide experienced staff to conduct field work and generate quality data. Our strong relationships with contractors such as drillers, laboratories and construction companies are a valued asset to our clients.
