Camp Nashoba North
Explore beautiful Crescent Lake, try new activities, make new friends, gain confidence, and experience your best summer ever. Camp Nashoba North is a Maine sleepaway summer camp that offers a wonderful traditional camp experience for 190 boys and girls ages 7 to 17. Our co-owner and director Sarah Seaward welcomes you and your family. We were thrilled to be selected for a feature article in the April issue of Maine Magazine on Summer Camps.
Services
Please confirm all flights within 48-hours of arrival with our directors via phone or email. Camp staff will meet/drop-off campers at Boston's Logan Airport and Portland Jetport Terminals. Crescent Lake is a certified float plane landing lake; please call the Camp Office for coordinates. Families should plan their arrival at camp after lunch, between 12pm - 3pm on Opening Day.
Our main goal is for all new campers to have a positive overnight camp experience at Nashoba. This shorter program allows access to the full camp experience, while acknowledging that being at sleepaway camp can be a big change for the whole family! Open to campers completing grades 1 through 5. limited availability.
Our days at Nashoba North are full of excitement and new adventures. After we wake up, we meet up as a community for flag raising before breakfast. Then, the majority of a typical day is devoted to five activity periods (with lunch and dinner of course!). As a camper, you will have the freedom to choose the activities you want to attend every week.
There are tons of fun things to do at camp. Activity wise, there are lots of different things you can do. There are lots of different sports and arts, as well as the waterfront. Outside of daily activities, there are lots of fun evening activities you do with your cabin mates. You can also go on trips and compete against different camps in some sports.
In the morning we offer a large breakfast bar filled with fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, raisins and bagels. Complimenting our breakfast bar, campers will find assorted cold and hot cereals and a hot breakfast meal served family-style at each table. Hot meals vary and include items like french toast, blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, omelets and waffles.

My daughter had her first-ever camp experience last summer at Camp Nashoba North and she has been counting the days for this coming summer since she returned. She loves Camp Nashoba North! The staff were great with her many food-allergy restrictions and with helping her adjust to her first time away from home for so long. We highly recommend the camp!

What a camp! The staff is very kind and helpful and the campers are great. There are no words to describe the experiences I have had there. I have made friends for life and would recommend anyone to go to Nashoba. Leaving the digital world behind you and breathing in the fresh air from Maine is what I'm always looking forward to do every summer.

From my daughter: I went to CNN for the first time last summer when I was 13 years old. My sisters had gone in previous years and they had told me all about their great experiences, so I was really excited to go for the first time. I had very high expectations for my experience because of all the great things I had heard about. Camp turned out to exceed all expectations and I had the best summer ever. I tried lots of new activities, made lots of new friends from all around the world, and had so much fun! I can't wait for the summer!

Nashoba is wonderful! My kids felt so cared for and encouraged and absolutely loved camp. I have never seen my kids so happy or smile so much. I know my kids grew in their abilities and confidence from their four weeks. The best was hearing their testimonies, my 13 year old son- on his phone call home I asked, do you wish you could stay longer, his response, "sure, I don't care how long...I just love the people here so much." My 11 year-old daughter, "I hope this school year goes my fast because I can't wait until next year to go to camp." I highly recommend sending your children here, it will

My three kids have been attending CNN for now five years. I also was a Nurse at the camp for the first two years of attendance. Prior to that, we were at a different camp for a year that I had many concerns with. I can honestly say as a Mom and Nurse (plus previous camp nurse) that Nashoba is amazing. It’s safe, clean, fun and has rules that help our children become great humans. They run a tight ship and I feel comfortable leaving my kids with Sarah and her team. I highly recommend CNN to parents and kids.

We can’t say enough great things about Camp Nashoba North! It’s not easy to send your child away to camp for their first real time away from the family. Our son absolutely loves it. The camp facilities, the activities, the campers, and the staff are great. The experience has been amazing for him, and we feel like he has really matured, and changed in a good way because of it. The counselors do an amazing job of connecting with campers, bringing campers together, and managing an overall amazing experience for the cabins. Whenever we visit, the sense of community, and energy amongst everyone

Two years in and our son can't wait for year number three. The events offered have been great. The counselors are encouraging. He is a horseback rider and gets to ride every morning. Being on a lake in Maine over the summer should be part of everyone's dream summer! As a parent it's so hard to be without a child for a month; however, I've found its an excellent time for us all to recharge and miss each other. We highly recommend this camp experience. Oh, and the best is no ipads, no iphone or computer games. It's friendship, building a love of the outdoors and trying new

My daughter is going on her third summer at Camp Nashoba North. She looks forward to it all year and she stays in touch with some very special friends she's made at camp throughout the year. We couldn't be happier with Camp Nashoba North! My daughter has grown so much from her camp experience. Camp Nashoba North provides a wonderful, safe, wholesome, and loving community. The staff are all mature college kids from all over the world, many return for several years! We love that our daughter tries new activities, often times out of her comfort zone, and also spends much time at camp excelling at

Camp Nashoba is absolutely the most amazing camp!! Both my children have attended and have enjoyed every second spent there. They look forward to going back each year. The staff is warm and friendly and really makes the campers feel like they're at home. The activities are also great and my children have experienced so many things that they would not have been able to do at home.

Camp Nashoba North is a sleep away camp in Maine that I attended last year. This was my first sleep away camp experience and I absolutely loved every second of it. As the new girl, I was slightly hesitant to begin this new experience, feeling that I would not make many friends, or even like the camp very much. But I was proven wrong, all of my campers, instantly befriended me (still to this day, I keep in contact with many of them). The counselors were so affable, and all of the activities and classes at the camp were created to insure the best possible experience anyone of any age could enjoy

My oldest daughter went to CNN for 5 years and aged out. She loved it then and loves it still. She made lifelong friends from all over the country and the still stay in touch. In fact they all went to each others Sixteenth birthday parties. We have had some of them for dinner at our house and at restaurants where all of the kids were great, mature well mannered young ladies, just as they are when you see them at pick up. They all have fun and the all love the camp.

Regarding the electronics policy, yes the kids can't have ipods, computers or cell phones...and why is that a bad thing
