Our Chimney Sweeps use state-of-the-art equipment to clean any kind of chimney. While sweeping your system, we ensure that it's in working order. We look for any problems that could prevent peak performance and recommend what is needed for your system to burn cleanly and safely. Any potential hazards or problems will be pointed out.
The byproduct of enjoying a crackling flame is creosote buildup (the major cause of chimney fires) and soot, which can restrict air flow and damage the fireplace chimney. Even a gas fireplace chimney can become blocked by a bird's nest or other debris. An annual chimney inspection checks for buildup and blockages, followed by sweeping to remove problems inhibiting performance.
Water damage is the most common cause for a chimney repair. Because of how high it's placed, the chimney stack is the most vulnerable part of your home when faced with harsh weather. If your flashings become loose and the brickwork becomes porous, you are likely to have a leaking chimney. A chimney without a damper can be expensive.
There is no steadfast rule on how often you should clean the chimney. The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) recommends that chimneys, fireplaces and vents be inspected once a year. Cleanings, maintenance and repairs should be done if necessary. No, there shouldn't be a mess. Extreme caution is taken when any service is provided in your home.

We are having a new gas fireplace installed through a company who contracted Able Chimney Sweeps to come out and clean the flue prior to the install. SO grateful they selected such a great chimney sweep company. Rob showed up on time, answered my questions, respected my home, left the area clean and was kind and courteous throughout our interactions. Since we have two fireplaces, we'll definitely contact Able Chimney Sweeps for any future needs. Thank you for employing wonderful service people!

I had my chimney inspected by Alberto with Able Chimney and it was an excellent experience. On time, professional, friendly, COVID safe and knowledgeable. He talked me through the state of my fireplace (I just moved in so had no history of it) and explained to me the anatomy of my shared chimney (I live in a 3rd floor, historic condo) as well as how to take good care of it. He was great -- he even carried a box of wood up to my condo for me. I will definitely use Able Chimney Sweeps again. Thank you, Alberto!

The Able Chimney Team did an incredible job restoring my 1926 chimney. They were responsive, helpful and answered all of my questions. We have been using the fireplace non-stop since they completed their work and have not had a single problem. They made sure that new mortar matched the original mortar. The new chimney cap is beautiful. I highly recommend this team. Thank you!

Oh my goodness, anyone with a chimney should go with Able Chimney Sweeps, and, in particular, Albert, the senior technician. I am a new homeowner and did not know the state of my wood burning fireplace. Albert was INCREDIBLY PROFESSIONAL. He inspected, cleaned my chimney and gave me invaluable tips about operation and what to look out for. He was impeccably neat and not a trace of soot found its way into my living room. I cannot recommend Able Chimney Sweeps enough!!!

Outstanding from start to finish.
Easy to make the appointment. Got a email confirmation, a text confirmation of time, date and who would be doing the work.
Alberto was about 10 minutes early and very organized. He had drop clothes and was very respectful of and soot on tools, whipping them clean as it was removed from inside the chimney.
