Services
Since our inception in 1977, Jack Pixley Sweeps, Inc. has been providing quality, trustworthy chimney and masonry services to Minneapolis, Saint Paul, and beyond. We are located in Spring Lake Park, Minnesota, and work hard to keep our neighbors' homes safe, warm, and efficient. At Jack Pixley Sweeps we know that education paired with experience is the key to quality, which is why we invest in the education of every one of our employees.
If it involves a chimney or fireplace, you can count on Jack Pixley Sweeps to know how to install it, repair it, clean it, and/or bring it up to code and national safety standards. Located in Spring Lake Park, and providing services to the Minneapolis and St. Paul area since 1977, we have seen it all.
Professional Chimney Sweeping for our Friends in Minneapolis, St. Paul and the surrounding areas!. Each home heating appliance is dependent on a chimney and/or venting system that functions properly. If the chimney does not work as designed, the heating system will not perform as it should. This situation has the potential to result in serious damage to the home and its surroundings.
The chimney sweep industry has come a long way since the days of Charles Dickens-style high hats and funny-looking brushes atop long sticks. At Jack Pixley Sweeps, you may find soot smeared across our cheeks, but you'll also find some game-changing technology-a closed circuit camera, among other modern tools-in our bag of tricks.
Most chimney flues are not easily accessed without at least partial removal of masonry. Even bright lights or sunshine are usually not enough to illuminate all areas of your chimney. But when it comes to giving you assurance that your chimney is clean and safe, we don't want even a single area of your chimney to go unseen.

I'm very happy with the work that was done to clean and inspect the metal fireplace chimney and fireplace. The technician was courteous, knowledgeable and cleaned up afterwards. He was patient in answering all my questions.
The company said that they could replace the door gasket on the fireplace. However, this was not done because they could not find the gasket material (which is available online). I will do it myself.
The company also advertises that they can clean my clothes driver vent (for a fee). However, this service is much more limited than I was led to believe. I give the technician

Jack Pixley was initially very responsive and willing to look at our chimney that others weren't willing to. It's in an outbuilding, so it was questionable whether it was code or not. Their communication continued to be impressive as they sent an email with a quick 'bio' on the technician who'd be coming out to our house... that was a great touch. He arrived on time, did a thorough inspection, let us know that we actually didn't need the services we requested, as the chimney was clean of soot, and didn't require a full sweep. So, they cut our invoice in half, and only charged for the work they

As always, Jack Pixley's technicians were knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. We have a very old fireplace and chimney, and they always send extremely knowledgeable and skilled technicians who help us keep it safe and operating well. I trust them absolutely, and I appreciate that they are good explainers who clearly care about their craft.

Positive: Professionalism, Responsiveness, Value
My service technician Jim White did a great job inspecting my chimney and fireplace. He explained clearly what he was looking for and gave great recommendations for what needed to be addressed and what could wait. He was professional and provided great customer service, which can be hard to find these days. I highly recommend Jim!

Not impressed. Upon the initial visit, the lone service tech creepily stared into our front window for a few minutes without ringing the doorbell or knocking, and also didn’t call beforehand as they claimed he would. When my wife opened the front door and said “hello”, he said nothing and handed her his card. Then said our roof was too tall and he’d have to come out some other day along with another tech as it’s a two-person job. When the two techs arrived a few weeks later, they immediately said our wood stove was a “dinosaur” and that it should be replaced, which would likely cost

Jack Pixley is great! Our family has been using Jack Pixley for the last five years, ever since we bought our current house and both gas fireplaces needed some work. Since then we have also had to have our chimney repaired and sealed. Jack Pixley has always been professional, prompt, extremely reasonably priced, and done fantastic work. After our chimney was repaired, we had torrential rain, and Anton (one of the masonry professionals) came by to check the next morning to make sure everything was still in good shape and water tight. They really go above and beyond. Can't recommend them highly enough
