I was in San Antonio with my mother, visiting my daughter, and we wanted to do some sightseeing and needed to rent a wheelchair. The gentleman who helped me was very kind, and renting the wheelchair was a breeze. I started to browse around looking at mobility scooters, for mom, and even though he knew I wasn’t from there and had no intention of buying one from him he took the time to explain some of the differences and even how to take one apart for transport. It was a great experience at a time when customer service isn’t what we all might like it to be. Thanks Ability Scooters!

Charlie at Ability Scooters is amazing to deal with. He made the whole process of renting the scooter and having it delivered so easy. The hotel had their wires crossed and we didn't think the scooter was there. Charlie got on the phone and had the problem resolved so quickly. Such a happy easy guy to work with. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

When my wife and I arrived in San Antonio, her scooter was damaged by the airline. No one could figure out why it worked. We took it to Ability Scooter just before closing, within hours Charlie & Barby made it good as new. I cannot say enough about the excellent work and friendly service we received. They gave us peace of mind over an otherwise stressful time. You can't buy that

All I can say is WOW about Ability Scooters, 5 stars is not good enough. I just purchased a new scooter about two hours ago and the first thing I wanted to do when I got home is write this review, even before I take my new wheels around the block. They have the most competitive prices for any brick and mortar store around and have a wide variety of scooters in-store to try out; most have two or three but say they can order from a catalog. I searched high and low for a local place that sold portable wheelchair access ramps, since I had an immediate need and couldn't wait to order online. I called every local wheelchair and medical supply store I could find, with no luck. Ability Scooters had what I needed! Charlie was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommended.

If you need a knee scooter or similar ability device, go here! I spent three days looking up 85 BCBS approved knee scooter providers, only to find it was cheaper, faster, and nicer to pay the price at this place. This is a small business, that had incredibly more options then anywhere else. The people that work there are super kind, and I was able to get extensions easily over the phone. Can't say enough good about this company.

Very friendly, helpful, & accommodating staff. I used & bought sub zero pain cream from here. That stuff is amazing!
I rented from here twice, both times received great help & a great product. Unlike a place I rented from downtown, that had nice staff but a subpar product.

Excellent customer service. The man at the store was very friendly and helped my son find the perfect scooter for his needs. I also appreciated that you can rent something that is an expensive piece to purchase since we will only be needing it for 2 weeks. I also asked for some additional items and he took the time to show us how they work. Very pleased with this store and the customer service shown and will definitely use them again if we ever need this type service.

I rented a scooter from this establishment last month. The owner and his wife were both amazing. When I had called with concerns they provided quick answers. The scooter itself lasted the whole day without needing to recharge which my mother loved. It was compact and convenient. I definitely recommend renting your scooter from ability scooters.

Rented a knee scooter for my wife, best thing anyone can do if you have a sprained ankle or any issues with your feet. The folks over here provide great customer service, and are very knowledgeable about the products. It's a family run business and they know how to treat you right. Highly recommend!

Barbara and the Ability Scooters team went above and beyond the call of duty at the recent Texas Democratic Party state convention in San Antonio. They were helpful, responsive, friendly, and compassionate. I would never have survived the convention, were it not for their product and their service. Highly recommended. Highly valued. I'm just high on these folks. Can't say enough good things.

We went on a family vacation to San Antonio this past weekend and Day 1, my mom slips and hurts her already bad ankle. UGH! I searched and could only find two places that rent wheelchairs. Ability Scooters was closest so I called. They were extremely helpful on the phone (I was worried about it fitting in our small trunk) . Then we went to pick it up and they showed us how to collapse it and use . They were very patient and reasonably priced $40 for 2-3 days. Return went just as smoothly and they didn't hold up our departure home. Did I mention that the wheelchair we rented was brand new

If I could give 10 stars, I would! I recently had foot surgery, and Ability Scooters was so incredibly helpful! They delivered the scooter right to my door and then came and picked it up when I no longer needed it. The knee scooter was an absolute life saver during the time when I could not put pressure on my foot. Gave me mobility because I had a difficult time on crutches. But, with the scooter, I was zipping around and went right back to work! Their customer service is amazing, and I would highly recommend Ability Scooters to anyone!!
