Perla was born in Monterrey, Mexico and moved to Austin at an early age and is very fluent in Spanish. Perla has worked in the medical field for over 11 years before transitioning to the dental field. Her knowledge of billing and coding makes her a valuable member of the team along with her compassionate and understanding nature.

Dr Flint and his whole staff were very friendly and provided me all if the information that I needed to decide to have my tooth extracted. It began with the Ashley calling to set up my first appointment and sending me a link to complete new patient forms. Then when I arrived the Receptionist was very welcoming and asked for my driver’s license and insurance forms. Then the positive experience continued with Mike the Technician, who took c-rays and then asked some questions. Next, Dr. Flint introduced himself and after clarifying my tooth issues, he explained the extraction process and answered

I have always been fearful of ever getting a tooth extracted. High anxiety. Derrick Flint and his assistant, Robert, made it easy and stress free. They answered all my questions with patience. And the procedure was faster than expected. I have just gotten the second tooth removed and am extremely happy with Oral Surgery Specialists of Austin. And a huge bonus is they are in-network for my dental insurance (Guardian) which is hard to find. Highly recommended. TOP NOTCH!!

Quickest surgical dental appointment I’ve ever had. They were able to get in and make the extraction as opposed to having to wait for days in pain. Dr. Matthew Largent was great as was his assistant John (I believe was his name). Super service and a very nice view outside while you're in the chair. Great all the way around!

Dr. Flint is a very energetic and extremely down to earth guy. He doesn't try to confuse you or flaunt his knowledge by throwing an immense amount of medicinal jargon. His jokes are light and he very much wants you to understand what is going on and what his plan is to help you. He is very quick at devising a plan for your needs and he just wanted me to feel like whatever he needed to do for me (double wisdom extraction) was just another Monday for him. Dr. Flint and his staff were awesome. He went over options with us for the surgery and carefully reviewed the images taken. The staff put together our treatment plan quickly and answered all of my questions. Not only did they do a great job, but the estimate for the cost of surgery is HALF what another office quoted us for the same thing. I highly recommend Dr. Flint and his staff for your oral surgery needs.

Dr. Flint and his staff were wonderful and they truly care about their patients! Prior to the procedure I got an infection while out of town and Dr. Flint went above and beyond to make sure it got treated and I was ok.
I originally had a lot of anxiety around the procedure but their team made me feel at ease throughout the whole experience. Everything healed really well and would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you Dr. Flint, Robert and team!!

I had an exceptional experience during my recent visit for a wisdom tooth extraction. Dr. Flint explained everything thoroughly and once my mouth was numb, 10 minutes later my tooth was out! Amazing! And with little to no discomfort. If I need oral surgery again (God forbid 😎) I'm visiting Dr. Flint again and his friendly staff!
