What is a Short Sale? For homeowners who can no longer afford to keep mortgage payments current, there are alternatives to bankruptcy or foreclosure proceedings. One of those options is called a short sale. When lenders agree to a short sale in real estate, it means they are willing to release their lien against the home for less than the outstanding mortgage balance (including default interest and penalties, etc.).

Worked with Jon and Danielle on a recent home purchase in Hampton Bays. Danielle was the most responsive paralegal I have ever worked with in my life, and also very pleasant to work with- the seller demanded a 24 hour turnaround for the purchase contract and Danielle was able to meet that deadline with flying colors, and she also identified a few changes on the contract to protect my rights as a buyer. I selected Richard Klein as my real estate attorney based on his excellent online reviews and I was not disappointed.
