Mount Notre Dame is affiliated with the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur which is a religious order that originated in France and Belgium. The order is an international organization with a main US region located in Cincinnati, Ohio. The school was founded by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur in 1860.

Mount Notre Dame remains strong and resilient thanks, in part, to the support of many benefactors to the Mount Notre Dame Annual Fund. Investments in this fund help us cover annual costs so that we can continue to live out our mission of "educating and empowering young women to learn, live, lead and serve".
Mount Notre Dame has made over $20 million dollars in upgrades to our facilities over the past decade. MND features a state of the art Performing Arts Center (PAC), cutting edge technology access via our Tech Center, a modern Learning Commons for students, and one of the top outdoor athletic complexes in the region.
Mount Notre Dame seeks to recruit, develop and retain the most talented faculty and staff from a diverse candidate pool. Our goal is to build a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives and skills and to reflect the learning community we serve. Mount Notre Dame High School is seeking to hire a full-time, academic year Intervention Specialist as a member of our Intervention Department.

Excellent educational opportunity for the young women in the community to learn religious values and the importance of following posted school guidelines and rules. I certainly wish all students today were afforded the chance to attend this wonderful institute. ..where parents make back breaking sacrifices for their children to prosper in life...one day the children will appreciate the wonderful opportunity provided by ND...to go into the world and work with their heart and head...not their back

My daughter and I both attended MND and had a similar, great experience, albeit 30 years apart. The faculty and administration are extremely caring and dedicated to their philosophy of empowering young women. The atmosphere is accepting of all and academically motivating and as a result most graduates leave with confidence and skills that serve them well at college and beyond. In contrast to the previous reviewer, my daughter changed from a large public school district for K-8 to MND with a little push from mom and has been very thankful for her decision.

As an alumna of MND, I certainly come with a distinct perspective on the school. Of all the schools in Cincinnati, and certainly of the private, all-girls school, I strongly believe that MND makes its mark as the most welcoming, open-armed school in the city. With diverse academic options, ranging from college prep to AP courses (and some offering college credit - I left MND with six college credits), every girl can personalize an academic career that is challenging and enjoyable. MND also has a great reputation as a sports powerhouse, but it doesn't limit its scope of extra-curriculars to
