Kemah Hardware has an incredible lumber yard with one of the largest selections of lumber in Houston, Galveston and beyond. Our staff is knowledgeable and friendly and can help you in ways other big box stores can NOT. At Kemah Hardware, we have a huge selection of products that are not only what you would expect to see at a hardware store, but also things you would expect to have to special order off the internet.
Our lumber supply is among the largest selection in the Houston - Galveston Area, we carry everything from marine grade plywood, treated lumber, yellow pine, square timbers, and round pilings. We stock laminated beams, composite decking, cedar siding, fir plywood, and cdx plywood. Here at Kemah Hardware we stock a large selection of Galvanized anchor bolts, Simpson hurricane ties, hold downs, joist hangers, and nails.
Kemah Hardware offers an array of exotic woods from Mahogany, Red Oak, Teak, Maple, Poplar just to name a few. We also carry plywoods from 1/8" thru 3/4" in these species which could be used for countertops or flooring. I don't know who they're paying to get these reviews that are so positively for Kemah Hardware. The employees treat customers hateful and disrespectful. I seriously don't know how they stay in business.The prices on their products are Extremely Overpriced.You will pay more on most items then you will Just across the street. Kemah Hardware Needs new management new owners or just needs to go away. They have been ripping off the people of Kemah for way too long.If you price check people you will definitely go somewhere else. And they get the impression that they just don't really need your business

Great place for the one off stuff. Staff friendly and helpful in gating parts. Much dismayed about the return policy. Brought some bolts, nuts, and washers back all organized for easy restocking. When bought them, they were all just placed in one box. So when I went to return, got the “we typically charge 20 percent restocking fee” from the manager. l Asked really? He said what would you like to do. I said guess there is really no choice and he claimed the 20 percent (a little over $20). And that was that. This Mom and Pop hardware store had been a staple of the Kemah area for years. If your building a new home either on slab or on Wooden pilings. You need tools or supplies such as nails, screws, piping, tubing, plumbing, or tools to do the job, this is your place! The people are very helpful and friendly to make sure you get what you need to get your project or build done right

Best hardware store in the area and their prices on wood are unbeatable! We came in looking for really old federal electric breakers and the heavily tattooed tall gentlemen was super helpful and kept us entertained as he helped us looked for what we needed. Unfortunately, they didn't have what we needed but they pointed us in the direction of who would and we were so grateful.
Store is organized, clean, prices are fair and the staff was amazingly kind and informative.

Came in here multiple times while working a job in San Leon. Has a good stock of stainless steel nuts, bolts, and washers. Also found a good supply of o-rings, and retaining rings. The tool selection was not as good. We were looking for a 10mm hex head wrench, ended up purchasing a SAE hex wrench and grinding it down to fit. Still one of the best stocked hardware stores around here.

Say ten pounds. Now say ten thousand. Pretty distinct difference right? Well apparently not to Brian, who charged me for ten thousand three inch screws when I only wanted ten pounds.
But hey no big deal everyone makes mistakes and plus my order was over the phone, I know I've misheard plenty of words myself. We needed a pane of glass to replace a window pane and Kemah Hardware cut the glass for us, I was in and out in minutes and even when it didn't quite fit we took it back in and they trimmed it just a little and it worked perfectly. Very reasonable prices on the glass and it was great having it cut to size for us.

Ok here is the thing about Kemah Hardware. They have been around forever. Even with a Home Depot opening right up the street they stay open. You might ask why? Well of course they can't compete on price really. The thing they do is specialize. They carry a lot of specialty woods and lumber. They cater to the Marine industry a lot. They also carry a lot of speciality fittings of different metals and types. All these thing you won't find at the Home Depot. Sure you can get your typical hardware merch here but the selection is limited. It is a pretty small store so they don't have
