The DJ Hawaii, Tony So, is the man! Our initial phone call was great, he definitely has a sense of humor. My wife and I felt overwhelmed with everything going on and all the planning. Tony took care of everything after a few suggestions on our part, and with a only few questions from him. DJ Tony had the entire wedding jumping all night, it was absolutely insane!
Seriously, we even had grandparents getting down on the dance floor. Everyone had such a good time that we would have stayed and danced all night had there not been a curfew at the venue. On the day of the wedding, he provided fabulous music and everyone was on the dance floor. There was no dead silence and all the guests (children & adults) loved the song selections.

Hands down one of the best DJs/Emcees you'll find in Hawai'i or anywhere for that matter! He works with you before your event, feels out the flow and adjusts to the crowd during your event, and gets people up and dancing. He commands the stage with his easy going voice and plays the right music at every turn. 14 years later we still look back and are really happy we had Tony So at our venue. Hire him for your corporate events, weddings, birthdays...he can do it all...and most of all, you won't be disappointed!

Tony was awesome! He worked with us and gave us the same care, attention to detail, and responsiveness as if it were his own wedding. More importantly, we had to reschedule our wedding due to covid with only a month to spare! Tony worked with us to replan and everything. He even did a site visit with our planner beforehand to make sure everything was perfect.
We ended up going with one of his colleagues, Laurence, since Tony was not available on our new date. Regardless, our wedding was still awesome and everyone was dancing!

Tony was the best DJ/Emcee!! We planned our wedding from Oklahoma and Tony was absolutely amazing on helping us find other vendors and what to expect. He was extremely flexible with all the changes we had to make due to COVID. He kept the flow of the wedding going great from the ceremony to the first dances and to the reception. Our wedding at Kaimea Estates was perfect and Tony did a wonderful job!

Anyone that knows Tony So loves him. For anyone that meets him for the first time will see that he's very professional and very compassionate about his job! He takes the worry out of your hands and replaces it with his cool and calm energy. I know this because he did my virtual wedding (one and only of its kind created by none other than Tony So - the DJ himself)! Tony So- where to begin! We are from California and had a destination wedding @ Turtle Bay Resort. Anyone looking for a DJ, destination wedding or not, knows how important a good DJ is. We had heard about him from other vendors, stalked his Instagram, did the whole investigation (lol) and the hype ... was all true! From the moment we emailed , tony was on top of it. We did our call with him and he was super chill and flexible with making our vision become reality for a good price! I didn't get a wedding coordinator (i knowwww) and Tony literally kept everyone on a schedule for us. Was on time

This was a great choice. Tony kept our wedding lively and fun. Guests were constantly complimenting the music choices. Each song was more fun than the last. We had a great night!

Let me just start by saying that music at a wedding is EVERYTHING! I can attest to this having just had my wedding on June 30, 2018. Sentiments of happiness, excitement, hope, love, and nostalgia are elevated by song selection and the tone of the wedding is set by an evolving playlist. DJ Tony provided all music services for our wedding - and let me tell you, it was unbelievable. From the very beginning, he took care and consideration to listen to our taste in music, know exactly what type of music we wanted played when, and delivered on ALL LEVELS.
We have people telling us constantly that they LOVED our wedding particularly because of the great music! He even customized our dance music so that we had our own unique song for our first dance (a mishmash of Norah Jones and Hall & Oates). He went over and beyond every single time, and we can't recommend DJ Tony enough

We deciding to have a DJ at our reception just a few weeks before the big day. After discussing our needs with Tony, he made me feel very comfortable and I knew it was going to be a great party! Working along with our live band, they all worked fabulously together and everything was seamless. He could not keep people off the dance floor! The music was great and energy was spot on! My husband and I were referred to Tony by our videographer for our wedding. Based on his high reviews and after meeting him, I knew we found the right guy to be our DJ and emcee. Tony is awesome to work with...we booked him more than 6 months ahead of our wedding date, and he was always available to answer our questions we had with our timeline and reception details. We gave him a short list of songs we wanted to hear during our reception, and he was able to organize a playlist that we enjoyed...even taking a couple last minute requests from my bridal party. My wife and I looked long and hard for a DJ in Honolulu and after speaking with Tony for just a few minutes on the phone, I knew that he'd be a great one. He was very accessible throughout the process even though I am based in SF and he in Honolulu. Whenever I had questions or concerns about the process, he was more than willing to be patient and listen.
Most importantly, his music and mixing skills are amazing. He got our entire wedding party on the dance floor and the feedback was consistently: "[His music] was the most fun we've heard at weddings"

My wife and I started looking into a DJ about 2-3 months before our wedding date. We looked at some reviews on Yelp and found that "The DJ Hawaii" had some pretty solid reviews, no less than a 5-star rating. Little did we know that we were about to find out why.

Tony is simply the BEST! No need to consider anyone else for your Wedding. Looking back on how spectacularly fun the music and atmosphere Tony had cultivated was, it becomes overwhelmingly clear that Tony has had a tremendous amount of experience in supplying DJ services for weddings - Tony is a true professional and master of his craft.

After speaking with DJ Tony So at a Wedding Expo in March, we knew he was the perfect fit for our Halloween destination wedding. He was very knowledgable, friendly, and engaging. Having worked many weddings he really understood our style and our guests expectations (East coast weddings are all about dancing!) We had an eclectic style including classic rock during the dinner hour, ska for our entrance, 311 for our first dance, hip hop, MJ's Thriller, and top 40 but he managed to seamlessly integrate the songs and mixes all into our perfect for our wedding soundtrack. Tony is the Amazing! We (wife and I) knew what we wanted but we didn't know how to verbalize it. Tony showed up with absolutely nothing we didn't know the music we wanted we didn't know the generation we just knew we needed everyone dancing even the grandparents. It was awesome he some how figured out how to do it. He appealed to everyone and it was awesome.
The lighting was perfect we did the wedding at loulu palms under a tent and let me say magical. My wife did a great job pulling the wedding together ever better job (if that is possible) when she picked Tony.

We had Tony So DJ our wedding in May 2015 at Disney Aulani. Best wedding DJ I've ever witnessed. I had no clue which song to pick for the father - daughter dance, and he selected the perfect Steven Curtis Chapman song for me. My parents still rave about DJ Tony So to this day. They said Tony So was way better than the DJ at my brother's wedding on the mainland. Tony was able to get all the parents out on the dance floor, as well as all the hiding single people for the bouquet and garter toss. He was hilarious. He was clever in getting all fifty four of us out on the dance floor

Do not look any further for a DJ - Tony So is the best in Hawaii! He got everyone on the dance floor at our wedding. The only complaint that we had was why did the party have to end. We were planning our wedding from the mainland and he was very responsive. Met with us a few days before the wedding to ensure all the details were in place.
Initially we were debating between Tony and another top DJ in Hawaii. Extremely happy that we went with Tony. We attended a wedding recently where the other DJ was playing and he just did not get the crowd going the way Tony did.
