Although Le Bon Temps is fresh to the Deep Ellum community, the love of Beignets has rested in the soul of our founder for a lifetime. Born and raised in Louisiana, Eric Kohzindar has always enjoyed the Beignet as the signature treat from his city of origin. However, when he moved to Dallas, he quickly found that Beignets were scarce and when he could get his hands on some they never quite lived up to his expectations.
When you've got a stack of fresh beignets in front of you; while you're strolling through Deep Ellum with your friends. Here at Le Bon Temps, we know the beignet experience isn't complete without a streaming hot Cafe au Lait. Yet, to serve the best cafe au lait, you have to start with the best coffee.

Bought three orders of classique beignets. Two of three orders were undercooked and looked more like soapillas. Spent 15 dollars for subpar beignets that I was looking so forward to having.
Staff were too busy socializing with each other to make sure the beignets were cooked correctly. These are not New Orleans beignets!
Very disappointed!

How do they manage to pay their rent and turn a profit when the quality i severely subpar and the staff was incredibly inefficient? I’m highly dissatisfied. I would not recommend going to this establishment. The beignet was soggy and obscenely covered in powdered sugar. The staff behind the window was eating Taco Bell and chatting nonchalantly while there were many people waiting for their orders. I do not recommend going here.

Ordered the Berry Beignets to split with my boyfriend, these are SO good and decadent. I loved the fluffy outside with the warm berries inside, what a great dessert. I was really happy to be in the area and we happened to see this and stop by.
You can either walk up to the counter outside or go inside to order. There's no indoor seating, and just a couple of tables and chairs outside. It is super messy and got everywhere, so it's definitely better if you can enjoy them seated and with a handful of napkins.

OMG Victoria was beyond amazing!!!! She was the cashier…and she made the orders and she had a very upbeat personality the entire time!!!! If 1 stop shop was a person, it would be Victoria!!!! She worked so fast even with several people waiting! Simply amazing customer service and I’m so glad I came by today…all the way from Alabama!!!!

Love the lady owner. She is the ray of sun shine and really nice person. Coffee was great. Beignets were fantastic. My favorite was le boneignet. They were so crunchy and flaky. All the beignets were made fresh… to order. Lot of powder sugar. They were so delicious. Great little shop that worthy to visit. Definitely need to check this place out!!
