Services
Our team is committed to the recognition, evaluation and control of environmental factors or stresses occurring in workplaces that can cause sickness discomfort and general impaired health. Our industrial hygienists perform a worksite analysis to determine job duties and work stations that could be sources of problems.
Shooting ranges present multiple types of potential health hazards to employees. Hazards range from airborne and surface lead exposure to high noise levels. Shooting ranges should be designed to provide proper ventilation to maintain airborne lead exposures less than Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) exposure limits.
There are many hazards which put manufacturing workers' health and/or safety at risk. Exposure to hazards such as Noise, Toxic fumes and vapors, Heat stress, Confined spaces and Moving equipment can result in both acute and chronic health effects. Our Industrial Hygiene Team can perform worksite assessments to identify hazards and control or eliminate them before they can cause injury or illness.
Healthcare workers face a wide range of hazards on the job, including microorganisms, sharps injuries, harmful exposures to chemicals and hazardous drugs, respiratory exposures, ergonomic injuries and radiation. Exposures range from antineoplastic drugs in the pharmacy to Formaldehyde, Xylene and Alcohol in the lab to Waste Anesthesia Gases in Surgery.
Construction workers face an ever-changing variety of hazards every day. Workers' exposures are complicated due to the variability and duration of common construction tasks. Tasks that can expose workers to inhalation hazards include welding, abrasive blasting, cutting brick and concrete, grinding masonry and use of solvents and corrosives.
