Everything I need without leaving the peninsula!!
Seriously, I don't know how they do it, but I can always find what I need at this store. And the staff is so helpful and friendly. I don't know why it took me so long to discover this neighborhood gem!
In the last few months I've gotten extension cords, mailbox numbers, shelf brackets, laundry baskets, cleaning supplies, anti-tip kits for furniture, garden tools...the list goes on and and on.
It's the Anti-Amazon!
Their website is also really well maintained and so I can check to see what is there before I go (Spoiler Alert: they have it!),

This place is excellent! Very helpful staff, good prices! Literally 2 minutes in the door, I was asked if I needed help, directed to my destinations. The staff really took the time to explain everything to me and were very knowledgeable. Very pleased with my experience here. Glad to support a local store instead of the big box stores around!

Best customer service (thank you, Sam, for helping with all of my paint needs and going above and beyond on April 3 2021), AND received a pile of freebies for being new to the neighborhood. Everything I've put on my home-improvement-needs list I have not only found here, but the staff came right up and asked within minutes of me entering the store. Prices are right too.

My first visit here was one enough to make me never want to come back but, I did. I had to make a very quick stop here because I was short on time. This experience was probably one of the best hardware store experiences I've ever had. At check out "Drew" was so helpful, personable and so easy to talk to. The check out process went smooth, and quick but was perfectly pleasant. I'll definitely be back!

This shop has always been my go to for any hardware or yard needs. I always receive the best service, as well as great quality items and well priced. And now...fast and efficient delivery right to my door step, often within hours! Who can ask for more? Above all... it’s the great cast of staff members that sets this store apart!

Could this have been racially/ethnicity motivated?
My wife and I purchased one bag of soil and two packs of jiffy starter containers. The following day we were informed by Annapolis Police that an employee witnessed my wife and I stealing a bag of potting soil and wrote down our licence plate. The employee or management called the local APD on my wife and I and atempted to press charges for theft. For an "$8 bag of potting soil".
An officer showed up at our house incessantly pounding on the door informing us of the allegations and began to interview us. The officer told us to get in

I stumbled upon this gem when trying to avoid the ridiculous Annapolis traffic in search of getting a house key made. They have everything!! The aisles are packed with everything from toilet tank parts to kitchen trash cans. If you don't see it- ask! They also have play sand and all the plant choices in the spring. The check out gal I encountered a few times has no people skills but other staff are great! I always find a spot to park.

I have been shopping at B&B for many years as a resident of Annapolis. They are up-to-date with new technology but are old fashioned with great service, courtesy and a willing attitude to do the best job fulfilling your needs. They are a gem! If you haven't been in their store, give them a try. It's locally owned and the temporary and full time staffs go out of their way to ensure you receive good advice about their products and answers to questions for almost any repair or project you're attempting to do.

I love our True value.. Need a key cut - done, need some rope, done, need paint or seasonal stuff, it's there. And when the season is over, what a great sale.
They have plants in the spring, all the ice stuff in the winters. Painting, electric, and home goods. You need a great Maryland Gift, they have the full lot of Maryland cups, cheese platters, and more. Need kitchen utensils, they have it.

Great location but they close WAY too early. I pulled in at 6:08pm tonight (I learned the hard way they close as 6:00pm). While pulling into the parking lot two different customer were walking way after missing them being closed and in the process of leaving two additional cars pulled up but turned away unsuccessfully.
They really need to push back their weekend hours- in a period of 5 minutes they lost 5 customers. I spent $200 at Home Depot on items I was planning to buy at True Value. I like supporting the little guys but I needed items that immediately.

If you enjoy a local hardware store with a knowledgeable, courteous staff look no further. I shopped here over the last year and enjoy each trip. From Sandbox sand to toilet parts, paint, and hard to find parts for do itself projects this Tru Valu has it. If you live on Annapolis Neck pass on the trip to Home Depot and visit TV.

I love the variety of the stuff you can find under one roof. When I lived on Forest Drive, I went to this location exclusively to avoid the drive. I've never been disappointed. We did a lot of renovations on our townhouse and it was our source for many items big and small...and things I didn't realize I needed. I could always find someone to help.

Great little find in Annapolis!! Right by Quiet Waters dog park, I hit it often for needed supplies rather than go to Home Depot. Their staff is very helpful, knowledgeable, and there's always someone available if you may need assitance. Also just nice people.
I also checked in on Yelp, got a reusable bag and now get 20% off for whatever I can fit into this bag. Show the check in upfront through lest they have to go back and give the discount for each item they already rang up.

I love going in here because the staff are so knowledgeable in their inventory and home maintenance. I'm a do-it-yourself'er so I appreciate any good advice I can get on taking care of my home.
The best part, this store has a rewards program. It's free to enroll and after you spend about $200 there you'll get a reward in the mail. They are really good about sending out coupons and rebates.
