This place is great. They actually are true mechanics. They explained exactly what they were going to do and prices are as everyone else's but it's done right. Glad to see Bill for all of my vehicles. Recommend them highly.

The staff is professional and reasonable. Wont do any work without notifying you and receiving your permission. The staff showed me what they worked on and were personable when waiting on repairs. The work is done in a timely manner so I didn’t feel like I was overpaying for labor. They provide solid discounts for your first visit and military discount for any visit afterwards.

When you see advertisements for auto services, often these shops boast of "fast & friendly service", but they are rarely both. Sometimes they are neither. And whoever chose the slogan probably had no real relationship to the people at the shop.
Sanford Auto Service does not need a sign that boasts in such a way. They simply personify it.
Steve - who has owned it for two years now but has worked there for years - transmits humility, trustability, and reasonableness in every interaction - and he is the guy at the front desk so you know you are in good hands.

Great place! Took my truck there for something that wasn’t covered under my warranty at Toyota. Toyota was going to charge me an arm and a leg for something that wasn’t even needed to fix the issue. Steve and his men are wonderful and took care of the issue in no time at all. You have a new customer for life.

Seems on the "up and up." Friendly and concise. Informed me that in adission to determined repairs my battery was indeed "bad." I chose to overlook this piece of info. thus attempting to avoid a greater expense. A month later my battery is completely dead. Should have listened in the first place! Lesson learned. Thanks, Steve.

So glad I found this spot! As a woman, it can sometimes be awful going to a car shop. I'm not an idiot but am often treated like one and have to deal with pushy mechanics telling me about a whole host of services I "need".
Sanford Auto does't make me feel like that at all. I can get in and out quickly with polite, professional, and efficient service. Price points were fantastic too. Glad I've found a new spot that's so close to home!

Stephen (the owner) and Bill (one of the mechanics) are amazing! They take pride in what they do and the customer service is "Top Notch" . I took my 2012 Hyundai Equus (I was referred to them by a friend) for some pretty detailed work on the struts and suspension (the dealership was going to charge $4,000 + on just parts alone) and they did it for a fraction of the cost with excellent service, fairness, timeliness and transparent communication. I would recommend Sanford Auto Service to anyone seeking reliable, fair , honest and excellent quality service.
