Volunteers deliver furnishings to someone in need every week. Volunteer with us and see for yourself the look on a client's face when their apartment is furnished right before their eyes. We accept new and gently used in-kind donations. Clothing, books, decorative items, kitchen items, furniture, appliances, bed frames, new/used mattresses and more.

Our mission is to transform lives through community, compassion and essential home furnishings. We work with many local resources to connect with the recently homeless, veterans in need, and youth aging out of the foster care system. Often times our clients have nothing in the way of furnishings. Providing life's essentials is rewarding and honorable.
Services
Furnishing Dignity serves Maricopa County. Our Mission is to transform lives through community, compassion and essential home furnishings. We accept financial donations and in-kind donations and offer many volunteer opportunities. Robert is Senior Vice President of Investments and manages the Southwest Complex for Raymond James, which includes offices in Arizona and New Mexico.
Working in partnership allows Furnishing Dignity to multiply the power of our outreach efforts and build an even stronger community. Our Furnishing Dignity community strongly believes and encourages collaboration. We are blessed to have these community partners to move our mission forward of transitioning a house into a home.
We offer five different volunteer opportunities, most starting at 7:30 AM at our storage units located at Armored Self Storage, 14245 S. 48th Street, Phoenix, 85048.* Ending time is tentative based on the activity and travel time but we try to be finished by 11:30 AM. Let's Pack Together - Prior to delivery, we need assistance to select, clean, tag and pack household items and furniture for delivery.
Help create a home for those transitioning from homelessness and foster care with your charitable donation. Most often, the single greatest need of our clients is a bed. The consequences of poor sleeping conditions can be devastating and are known to negatively affect overall health and can cause under-performance at work, falling asleep in school, irritability and depression.
There are currently over 8000 children in foster care in Maricopa County alone. Your donation to Furnishing Dignity helps kids aging out of the foster care system. These young adults commonly start with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Help give our youth a jump start on life with the basic furnishings that make a house a home.

I was homeless for 2 years. I got up and finally quit the bad life choices. I was able to get a very comfortable apartment but the only problem I had was I had nothing for it at all. I email them and Tamara the executive director emailed me back and told me what I had to do. Tamara is a Angel my Angel. I made a list of what I needed do to a issue with her coming to look for herself. 3 days later a big moving truck pulled up 3 wonderful young guys and Tamara. 45 minutes later my

Joyce was very communicative as was the moving team. They were also prompt and got everything moved out nearly to the minute of their estimate. We hope our furnishings will help others very soon. Highly recommend. :)

Furnishing Dignity is a wonderful local organization that helps people who have recently gotten a home and steady work but need all the items to furnish their new place. They are primarily previously homeless, aged out of the foster care system, or graduated from substance abuse rehab. Furnishing Dignity is also a fabulous organization to volunteer for! Such an awesome experience from start to finish.
In a day of volunteering, we 'shop' in their warehouse, gathering all the needed items for each family, be it kitchen items, dishes, small appliances, furniture, a brand new mattress, bookshelves
