Dr Kao and his staff were very easy to work with. Over the course of a year and a half (mainly due to the pandemic), he did a long list of dental procedures that I absolutely needed to get done. He's a very easy person to talk to and he helps explain all possible options to you in great detail. Front desk staff are extremely nice and helpful. Outstanding work.

As usual, Dr. Kao and all his team are impeccable in all aspects of the consultation: from the courteous, kind and welcoming way I was greeted on arrival by the receptionists, the respect and consideration for my time ( I was seen by Dr. Kao almost immediately), to the consultation in itself, when Dr. Kao, after my examination, explained very clearly and in detail what procedures are necessary and doable in my dental situation/ case.

I cannot thank Debbie enough for somehow managing to convince Dr. Kao, et al., to see me in spite of his solid schedule. I'm a new patient and had a cracked molar needing extracting.. Could not be happier with Dr. Kao and his entire medical staff! I was originally referred here by my primary dentist in need of some gum tissue work, and was absolutely dreading it - so much so that I used the pandemic as an excuse, and pushed it off for close to 2 years. I have been going to this practice for years, and have always received top quality care from both the periodontists and hygienists. The office staff is friendly , professional and accommodating. Today Dr Kai made time to see me for an emergency procedure, taking steps he explained might avoid a surgery. I started falling behind on my dental hygiene due to not having insurance and not being able to afford visits. Needless to say I was on the search for a good periodontist, I get high anxiety during dentist visits because they have always been so painful in the past. I've had periodontal scraping, tooth extractions and (3) dental implants with Dr. Kao and all three procedures were performed with care, compassion, competence, and the highest degree of professionalism.
He and his entire office staff are warm and personable, and they worked closely with my primary (non-surgical) dentist, Dr. Almario, to make sure all my procedures were in sync and well-timed.

I had severe periodontal gum disease that came on suddenly (at least it was a big surprise to me, especially that it was so bad!)... After researching like crazy for a great DDS in Los Angeles I decided to visit Dr Kao because he appeared more concerned about the science & care than some of the others with big shiny offices I read about. Best Periodontist ever! I actually found Dr. Kao online. I was not happy with the treatment plan from the other dentist I had consulted with and was looking for a second opinion. I decided to search online for one near my area. When I reached out to his office..to start the staff was very helpful, patient and thorough. I decided to schedule the appointment. Once I went in for my first consultation, Dr. Kao was very detailed about my treatment plan and prognosis. He seemed very trustworthy and reliable. PLEASE READ:I was referred to Dr Kao by another doctor when I needed to replace a tooth. Because of prior military service I am disabled and endure severe nerve pain throughout my body. Pain is always lurking near. Dr Kao did a FANTASTIC job on my extraction and dental implant. I was not a patient of his when I cracked my tooth. I was in tremendous pain, new to town and had no idea what to do. I made a few calks and was recommended to Dr Kao. He got me in right away and it was Dr Kao is kind, gentle and genuinely cares about his patients. The staff is awesome!! Referred to by Dr.Z down the hall, I feel like I hit the dental all star hallway when I went into Dr.Kao's office. Dr. Kao squeezed me into his very busy schedule, seeing me as a walk in who was dealing with emergency style pain. I am forever grateful to his staff and expertise.
Dr. Kao dealt with me from dramatic to overly excited once everything was taken care of. I was told by my dentist a few years ago that I should have a gum graft to cover my exposed tooth roots. I was scared and wanted to try "natural" methods for healing my gums. Did not work.

Dr. Kao did not rush through process but took his time and waited until I was ready for the next step.
