Services
Balayage is responsible for most of the hair color looks we see today. Balayage is a great way to lighten and brighten your hair. Balayage can blend seamlessly with your root color. If you are the type of client who likes to extend salon visits, this technique would work for you. Olaplex is recommended with all bleaching processes because it prevents any further damage.
I am Scott Richards CEO and Hair Designer. I am proud to have a salon for 15 years and counting. It has been a wonderful road. I really have enjoyed working with the wonderful hairstylists that work and share our day to day operations. I love staying busy in the salon here are some of the services I love to do are as follows: color, balayage, toning, color correction, Brazilian blowouts.
It's already January! Lately the salon has been busy, hard to believe in January but it's actually a pretty steady month. February is the slow down month in the salon industry. So Allison is one of the great stylists in our salon, among others. Allison came to me and. My name Is Scott Richards and I have been working in the beauty industry for over 20 years.

I was passing through Atlanta, looking to make myself feel better, and luckily hit on Scott Richard's Salon. Not only did Scott squeeze me in but he made me feel like we had always been friends. Amazing color, balayage highlights and a cut that capitalized on my natural wave. I wish I had taken a "before" picture. You will not be disappointed and you will absolutely be delighted with the outcome. Book Book Book! Ps: COVID safety techniques in place.

I've been going to Scott's salon for Many years. Cheyne is my stylist. Cheyne has been styling and cutting my hair for 20+years and would never let any one else color my hair . I've watched the other stylist in there and they are wonderful. Everyone is happy when they leave. The receptionist is so sweet and very considerate. She's always offering a beverage and greets you warmly. I love Scott's salon. My husband goes also. You will be very happy with the results. Everyone in there is professional .

What a great find! Very unassuming environment without all the pretention that similar salons in the area boast. I saw Nettie for my first visit today and she absolutely nailed what I wanted! It's the first time in a long time that I've found a stylist that did exactly what I asked for. She's fantastic! Thank you, Nettie. So happy with my new hair. 😁😁

I followed Janice over from a previous salon. She has been my colorist for over three years and amazing at what she does. Definitely a expert with blondes! After being in other salons, Scott's is so welcoming and friendly. Every employee and customer has a smile on their face. It's nice to come in and relax the entire time I'm having my hair colored.

Absolutely the best. I moved to Smyrna in 2015 and was nervous about finding a quality hair salon that did good hair color. Well I found it! What to expect from Scott : Listens to your requests , honest about how your request would look on you , ways to improve it and or suggests other options if available (this is great because he has great ideas he is the expert !) .
I never write reviews but his high quality work deserves it . Don't hesitate to trust your new look to him ! You won't regret it!

I have been going to Scott Richard's salon for about 2 years now. I've always been super pleased with the price and the service. However, 2 weeks ago I went in with a request for a drastic change. I went from long hair to a pixie cut and I couldn't be happier! Scott spent a lot of time on the cut, to get it just right. He did not disappoint. My family and friends were "wowed," as was I! Started coming to this salon from a referral about 3 years ago after moving to the area and have been coming here since. Located in a small shopping plaza on Atlanta Rd near Jack's New Yorker Deli, Scott Richard's Salon is a local business that has been at this location for about 4 years. The receptionist is always smiling and friendly offering coffee, tea, or water when you walk through the doors. The owner and stylists are always welcoming, as well. After a much needed hair cut, Netty brought my hair back to life. She layers my hair perfectly. She's very attentive and conversational

I wanted a change in my current style, but I'd never gotten my hair colored before. I found Scott Richard's Salon through Yelp and decided to give it a try. The stylist listened to my concerns, looked at a million Pinterest pictures I'd saved, and walked me through the coloring process. She gave me a great cut, followed by an awesome color that was exactly what I wanted. The prices are GREAT compared to other places in the area for just as good (if not better) service. I will definitely be back!

Needed a new stylist being fairly new to the area and wanted someone close to home. Saw great reviews for Scott and thought I would give him a shot. I arrived on time, he started promptly by offering me some Aveda hot tea (divine!!) and a scalp massage prior to shampooing me (pure bliss!!). We chatted for a while about what I wanted done, although I thought I was ready for bangs he talked me out of it. I love a stylist who isn't afraid to tell you something won't look good with the shape of your face. We talked a good bit about the Aveda products but I never felt pressured to buy anything

I love Scott's haircuts! I have been using Scott for about 5 years, and have always been happy with the cuts. My sister is a client of Scott's as well, and my mother has also been a client with the other stylist, Nettie. Scott offers great services and has unique specials for repeat clients. I found this salon b/c it was open on Sunday (although I made my appt for Wedn). The receptionist is so sweet and friendly. Scott, the owner, was incredibly friendly. The stylist, Netty, did amazing work on my ombre color. It was about $160+tip for my ~3in longer than shoulder-length hair, about 2.5hrs, and I think my desired color required a little more time. I thought it was very reasonably priced considering the outcome (and I get my hair cut at great clips). Netty was very friendly and fun to talk to. She talked me through the steps and was incredibly detail-oriented and PATIENT with the process

I have been so pleased with my choice to try Scott Richards Salon. I have went to the same salon for over 10 years but after moving and having a baby, it was too far for me to drive so I switched to Scott Richards b/c it was closer to my home. I have been so pleased with the services, price, and creativity of Scott. I have now been three times and he truly listens to what I like and creates a style. It's so nice having a stylist that has that creativity and eye to know what you want!

Prices are reasonable for the level of expertise you get (~$50 for women, ~$30 for men, for cuts)
Scott listens to what you want and then lets his creativity run with it. I also like the fact that he takes his time and never rushes through hair cut.
For those who haven't been there in a while - he just moved locations and is now right next to the New Yorker Deli on S. Atlanta Rd., but their phone number stayed the same.
