Dancing Grains Woodworks is a specialty woodworking company producing original designs in furniture, cabinetry, doors, and other architectural and interior design elements. We create pieces that speak to their environment, whether in a subtle or exciting way. Everything we are exposed to in our daily environment has an effect on the way we live our lives.
We believe that the more inspiring an environment you can create for yourself, the more fulfillment the environment has to offer back. We consciously make decisions toward longterm sustainability and health. We primarily work with materials from many different sources, from fallen trees to reclaimed barn wood.

Services
Come see our "Board Room" in the Pearl Street Gallery to choose just the right slabs for your project. We have a large assortment of slabs in several species, so you can find just the right look. Learn about where they come from and what they're best suited for in the process. We do our best to keep track of the life cycle of the trees we work with and can often tell you the town and sometimes the intersection the trees come from.
We are a full custom wood and metal shop and capable of building virtually anything you have in mind. We take your parameters and plugin our design expertise to come up with something beautiful, timeless, and functional for your space. You dream it. We can build it. We have come to specialize in some areas of woodwork and metal work over the years.
Dancing Grains Woodworks is proud to begin our second year in the gallery featuring custom made tables, benches, railings, kitchen and bathroom cabinets, barn doors and more. We are Boulder's hottest furniture store. With a showroom on Pearl Street, we are looking forward to bringing many new design options and displays in a new convenient location.

I needed a metal barn door to be a heat shield behind a wood stove. Dancing Grains made a beautiful door that looks like wood... I'm so happy with it! The space was tight and they made it work and had the measurements just right. These guys are wonderful to work with and the quality is outstanding. Highly recommend!

I couldn't recommend dancing grains any more highly.
The work they do is so beautiful that its functional art. I bought over the last few years a custom desk, a dining room table, and new kitchen cabinets. I am more impressed with their work every time the new project is finished.
Its also great to work with Austin, the owner. He is so creative and responsive and easy to work with. A great communicator.

Dancing Grains created an incredible custom table for our office in Boulder. They were a true pleasure to work with - very communicative and friendly. In my first review, I didn’t stress enough how thrilled I am with all the work Austin and the Dancing Grains team did in my house! I would most definitely turn to them with any future projects of this nature I would want for my home. I went in to find a nice piece of walnut to build some shelves for a countertop microwave in the kitchen and to add some aesthetic along side some spice racks I had built. The staff was super friendly and I was able to find the perfect piece. I was concerned about the weight of the shelf+microwave as the spot where I wanted to mount the shelves is only drywall, but the staff showed me some neat anchors and reassured me they would hold more than enough weight. They cut the piece to my dimensions for no extra charge and had it ready within a couple of hours. Great experience and tons of unique pieces

I went in there to get edge banding. However they only sold it in rather large rolls. One of the employees went out of thier way to help me out. I ended up paying only for what I wanted. So, first good thing is the staff. Secondly they have an amazing stock of wood. I saw some species that I had never seen before. They have massive white oak slabs to suprisingly nice walnut plywood. They have wood there that you can't get any other place. Finally they do custom furniture. As a woodwooker, I could tell that they were doing some good stuff too. They seemed do do it all for a woodwooker like me. I
