A former commercial helicopter test pilot and a native of Wexford County, Ireland, Patrick immigrated to the United States and, along with Heather Stafford, founded Stafford Crane Group in 2004. Patrick remains active in its management, focusing on customer relations, strategy and R&D. Jack, Patrick's brother, also immigrated from Ireland by way of the Middle East where he managed Stafford Crane Dubai for five years.

In 2004, with the support of Derek, Patrick and Heather Stafford founded Stafford Tower Crane of America in Phoenix, Arizona.
