The seeds of Forest City Trading Group, Buckeye's parent company, were planted in Cleveland, Ohio by Polish immigrants who entered the lumber industry in 1921 with forward-thinking ideas. What started as a single lumber yard eventually became a network of companies in several innovative areas of the wood products business.

Buckeye's domestic industrial trading department specializes in sourcing solutions for the remanufacturing sectors of the lumber industry. We work in conjunction with the import department and serve the window, door, moulding, millwork and pattern customers. With years of experience and extensive relationships both on the producer side and customer base, we feel we can find the material and solutions for your sourcing needs.
We supply multiple options of wood and composite matting through rental/leasing, outright purchase, and purchase with buy back options at the completion of your projects. Our team brings over 100 years combined of matting experience that allows us to work together and bring the best solutions to our partners.
Buckeye's lumber department is our largest group of traders, with a collective trading experience of over 170 years. We work together as a team to stay on top of market changes and trends. Our long-term relationships with manufacturers helps us maintain up-to-date pricing and availability. Sourcing product based on cost, specification, and shipment required is what we do on a daily basis.
