Steamer & Baked Oyster Bar

This has always been one of my favorite restaurants when I visit Gulf Shores. The food was still good but I didn’t think as good as it had been in years past. It was a cold day, so I appreciated the heaters blowing on the deck. The condiment bottles (especially the butter bottle) I could tell were not wiped clean from previous use. I didn’t get the same vibe as previous years that I’ve been, but this time I visited in the winter and that could be the reason. 🤷‍♀️

As a fish taco connoisseur, I will say these are the best fish tacos I've had in years!
The lobster, steak, and crab was all prepared to perfection.
The service was prompt.
Family frendly establishment.
Dine inside or on the patio.
Ill be back for more fish tacos for certain!

This was an amazing choice for dinner. The shrimp and oysters were steamed to perfection. The portions were large and very filling. The service was great. The drinks were strong and yummy too! I deginately recommend trying this place if you get the chance.

This place was AMAZING. After being on the beach all day we were looking for a pet friendly place. Everywhere had an insane wait so we decided to go home. I happened to stop by to see if I could place an order to go since I had a dog. They accommodated within 10 minutes and put me in a corner and let me bring my dog in (he was in a stroller). My waitress was from Jamaica. She ROCKED. They made a whole lot more money because of that. And a customer for life. (And the drinks are potent).

I ordered shrimp & grits with andouille sausage. The shrimp and grits came with potatoes and green beans. My boys had a hamburger and shrimp. Overall the food was good. The grits and green beans could've had a bit more flavor. Our waitress was really nice & helpful!

Great food with many options for all. Fast service. Was able to seat 7 of us with in 15 minutes. Plenty of parking. Oysters are big and very fresh, a must ever time we visit. Shrimp and grits is another all time favorite. Great location near the beach. Prices are very good.

Great beach food! The beach was across the street but the seafood was fresh! Got seated right away even though they were super busy. Great waitress meeting our every need. I got the t-shirt! Picture is grilled shrimp and scallops. 😋

Wait service was nice, but not very prompt. Food took a good while to come out but they were busy so we didn’t mind. We did mind when the food came out cold, extremely small portions, way over cooked, and absolutely no seasoning. The food pictured looks rotten and completely disgusted us. When we sent an entire plate of food, (who I’m guessing is the manager) provided no apology and just wanted us to tell her what we wanted to be charged for and then walked away. We had an experience with the Steamer three months ago and it was amazing, but it was extremely underwhelming and we left disappointed

My date and I ordered a half-dozen fresh oysters, and a boil of: Shrimp, corn, sausage, and potatoes. The meal also came with baked oysters; we chose Cajun flavoring.
The oysters were fresh and tasted good, but they must have been shucked wrong because I kept getting very hard pieces in the meat.
The boil was lukewarm when we received it. That was gross enough, but the shrimp were not properly deveined and tasted absolutely disgusting! Don't order the, "Royal-reds." The so-called "baked" oysters were raw with lukewarm toppings. These also had hard pieces in them.

Not the Gulf Shores Steamer of old, but it's not bad. Everything seems smaller and the crab legs were a little rubbery although tasty. The shrimp were a bit of a tough peel but the flavors were good. Drinks are good! Service is friendly!
