Shur-Way has a large selection of different types of wood decking either on hand or easily accessible. Cedar Decking - Western Red Cedar has been the 'Standard' for wood decking for as long as it has been being harvested out of the Pacific NW and Canada. Cedar is known for its beautiful color, nice fragrance, and ability to withstand the NW elements.
From very Low Cost to Super Premium when it comes to fencing, Shur-Way has you covered. Stop by either of our stores and we'll be happy to show you a variety of options and give you whatever advice you need to start installing your own fence. If you'd rather have a contractor put your fence in for you, then we'd be happy to provide you with options for people we think are doing great work in your area.
Picking out just the right type of siding for your Pacific Northwest Home can be a challenge, but we at Shur-Way are here to assist as best as we can. Shur-Way offers many traditional wood siding options in Western Red Cedar, panelized options such as T-1-11, engineered siding such as LP's SmartSide, and Fiber Cement composites such as James Hardie.
Part of what makes Shur-Way unique as a lumber yard is the large selection of "Shop" and "Mill Grade" plywood that we carry in addition to our normal "On-Grade" plywood selections. You will find our "On-Grade" selections of Exterior Plywood to be consistently at the lowest prices around.

Our pressure treated lumber is 'Incised' and then pressure treated to soak the treatment deep into the wood so that it can withstand being 'In the ground' or 'Touching the ground' for many years without deteriorating as quickly as untreated wood.Elite Wood is Doug-Fir stained in the pressure-treating chemicals and stained to three rich colors: Cedar, Driftwood (Grey) & Merlot, to be used outdoors but for decking and railing applications.

Very GOOD Customer service & reasonable price compare Home depot. Especially the knowledgeable's staff (Marty). Thanks to him to explained & arranged everything you need on your project. This is something Home depot staffs lacking of. Home depot is a "Grab & Go" store just like 7-11. The staffs there are not knowledgeable & the price is slightly higher because of its HUGE Marketing. But if you have Shurway delivery, then it's a bit points off. Because they "WON'T" call you if your order either is running late or rescheduled. You could ended up waiting for them all day for No Show. Call them if

Dan is amazing! We came in not knowing exactly what we needed nor what we were doing. He took the time to listen to our idea & walk us thru the process. Never once felt rushed or that we were bothering him with all of our questions. Completely different experience than at a Home Depot! Highly recommend. Don't shop anywhere else for lumber. Extra perk, you can walk around the whole yard & see all the wood first hand.

Depending on which employee comes to help you, this place can either be the best place to purchase wood or the worst. First time I went, the employees were incredibly helpful. Nice, knowledgeable, all that good stuff
Afterwards, I came to return a few pounds of nails that I won't use again and were really only useful on the project that I had finished, and the next set of employees were rude. While I had gone to look for nails that I was going actually use again, they proceeded to complain about the return and discuss under their breath that it was the dumbest thing they'd ever seen

Just visited this establishment and I will never return. I asked for green board and was told that they had no idea what I was talking about. I asked several more questions and asked if they had the ability to cut sheet rock for me and I was told no. The guy at the counter was actually pretty rude about it . I would not recommend this place at all. Ace Hardware or Home Depot have you covered!

We've been coming here about 10 years. Nice selection of lumber, building materials and wood pellets. Not all wood pellets (for home heating) are created equal and we found they not only sell a good quality brand it's also one of the best prices in town when purchased by the pallet. They also make every purchase a pleasure with fast and friendly service and loading -we barely have to get out of our truck which is great since it's always dumping rain during the winter. These guys are just so darn good at what they do and they're happy to share their knowledge when asking for

Just went to Shurcut on N Portland and got an awesome deal on plywood and 2x2s. Never ever buying wood at a big box store again. We got 4 sheets of siding for what one piece of OSB would've been and the 2x2s were half the price. George was our guy and he was fantastic, he even helped us load the van up with a smile.

George helped us and with his help we were finally able to figure out the supplies needed for our fence project. We live in the area and have always driven by but never stopped in until today. Their prices were better than Rick's and Superior Fence but they got our business because of service. I will definitely return here in the future.
