She was raised in small town midwest and followed her dreams all the way to New York City to become who she is today. After 4 years of experiencing various types of salons and apprenticeship programs she found her niche market and her love for free lance hair dressing.
She has built her entire clientele on word of mouth and retained her clients by building strong relationships and maintaining them. KP's objective is to encourage women to fall in love with being more themselves. I have dark/Asian hair and loved how natural Kristen's blonde highlights looked on her clients (Check out her Instagram @kphaircolor !) I DMed her wondering if she could lighten my hair but still keep it natural-looking on someone with dark hair. No exaggeration, I look like I was born with this hair color. I'm always concerned with making sure whoever does my hair makes it look very natural and not icy looking. Kristen did a phenomenal job on my hair and she will forever be my go to when I need to re-blonde myself. I'm a natural blonde but with age it has gotten darker and ashy. Kristen used her superpowers to lighten and brighten me up. I'm so happy with the job she did and she's also super cool, as is her assistant Blake!

Kristen is one of the best colourists I have ever seen. I've had issues with bad colour before, and came to her very weary. She put my mind at ease and I felt in such good hands. I brought to her an inspiration picture, and she is the first stylist to get it spot on. The blonde colour she does, makes it looks so natural. The technique she uses allows for the colour to last much longer than most, and it will look like you are a natural blonde. I traveled from Canada to get my hair done, and next time I'm in Chicago I will go to her again.

I met Kristen a little over a year ago through a friend (who also gets her hair done by KP!) I always talked about wanting to go super blonde and Kristen was my perfect match. Her technique is unlike anything I have experienced and it seriously is so perfect. The color LASTS and the way she tones the roots makes it grow out so naturally which is seriously the best part. Not only is she amazing at what she does she is a pleasure to be around (cause we all know hair care takes some time!). So sweet and so professional. She comes to NYC (where I live) almost every month so it's very convenient

Kristen is the absolute best. I have been getting blonde highlights all my life. I was never super happy with them but i didn't know why. After I had my first experience with Kristen I knew exactly why! 95% of hairdressers have no clue how to do blonde. Kristen is an expert. I've had her do a few different shades for me...all perfection totally complimenting my skin tone. Also, the technique she uses allows you to go 6 months plus without having to get your hair done! It's a money saver. I can't tell you how happy I am with Kristen's work. I would recommend her to EVERYONE

Kristen is AMAZING. I'm serious. I have gotten some pretty bad highlights in my time and Kristen really pulled me out of being traumatized from past experiences. I fully put my trust in her and have never regretted it! She has been coloring my hair for about ~4 years now. We've gone through lighter honey shades, super blonde, and everything in between. She always knows what I'm looking for and I won't ever go to anyone else for my hair. Her process is so intricate and thoughtful that my hair looks great basically year round. I usually only have to see her once or twice a year

Kristen is amazing!! I've had some seriously traumatizing experiences trying to go blonde and she fixed all of that in just one session. Her process is so different from any other colorist and it comes out perfect each time - exactly what you would see and print out from Pinterest. My hair is naturally a dark, ashy brown and the way she colors it blonde looks so natural, even when it grows out. Not to mention she is super accommodating with appointment times - she even did a house visit for me once! Go see her.. you won't regret it!

Kristin is the best, I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair color.
She works very differently than other colorist so the results and not like anything else you've see. The color looks good and fresh even when it grows out and she makes it look so natural.

Kristen is an amazing colorist, she is the ONLY person I will trust for my blonde and does an incredible job every time. She creates the perfect color (that lasts!!). It always turns out beautifully and looks natural and blended. She honestly works magic. I've gotten blonde color before and it has not compared! Kristen is a super talented colorist and genuine sweet person who cares about her clients. I look forward to my appointment every time! She is the BEST!
