He makes each batch by hand in our in-store studio using natural and locally sourced, plant-based ingredients and oils. To complement our soaps, we offer our own line of all-natural body butters, bath bombs, sugar scrubs, bath salts, balms, hand sanitizer, deodorant, shave pucks and more.
We also carry other lines of bath essentials as well as shaving, grooming, bath, body and skin care products, bathing accessories, home fragrances, essential oils, personal care products, gifts and others produced by independent businesses that share our philosophy of creating natural products free of animal testing, artificial colors, irritants, parabens, and harmful chemicals.

I visited Distinct Bath and Body for the first time for a soap making class. Sam and Chris were great! We had a group of 8 people, so we split up into two groups of four and made two different flavor soaps (lavender and lemon). It was a fun experience! You get to walk away with a bar of soap... not the soap that you make since it takes a few weeks to "cure" or "harden," but you can come back to pick up a bar once it is ready. I adore Distinct Bath and Body. Their soaps are just so so good and you can use the bar until it literally disappears. I'm fortunate enough to work across the street from this lovely shop so I can stop in whenever I need. But when I stopped by last week I bought a bunch of items for my friend who lives out of town and I think her reaction says it all. If you find yourself in the area, make sure to stop by and stock up!

During Covid I took advantage of the many local businesses offering delivery and I signed up for the monthly soap subscription with Distinct Bath and Body. For under $10 per month I get a hand made artisan crafted soap delivered to my door. Each soap I have received has been a joy to use in the shower and has lasted around the month.
Today I stopped in the store for the first and it was lovely as well. There was incense/candles/beard grooming products/bath bombs and of course soaps. The owner, Sam, is such a nice guy too.

Great local boutique. Handcrafted soaps in every scent imaginable. My go to place for gifts. The soaps last forever, and the shampoo bar is always a hit. Plenty of items for both genders as well as other items that make it a fun stop to pop in and browse.

I ordered a couple things from Distinct Bath and Body literally TODAY and ordered it for delivery because I'm lazy lol but they hand delivered it to my home TODAY! What nice people. Sam was incredibly kind, passionate and knowledgeable. I was shopping for a gift and ended up buying more for myself. There are aromas for everyone from citrus, to eathry, to floral. I sampled a body butter while I was there and regretfully did not buy one. I am totally impressed with how moisturized my hands are and they're not greasy what so ever! I love supporting local businesses and will definitely be back!!!!

Another soap class (#4)in the books! This class is so much fun! Sam makes you feel at home and it's as if you(customers,students are pro's he makes sure of that! The soap in pic is coconut with almond bits! Great for exfoliation! Can't wait until it's cured(about 3weeks) Thank you so much for your expertise Sam!

This is my new favorite place to shop for body butters and soaps! The Grapefruit Tangerine body butter is my all time favorite, and I love all of their activated charcoal soaps. The owner, Sam, is really nice and very helpful. I hope having a shop like this at Six Corners motivates more small businesses to move to the area.

How did I miss this place in my area! It is bit hidden but a gem once found. Sam the owner is fantastic and so helpful. He takes his time with each customer and you never feel rushed. They sell soaps, lotions, shaving lotions and candles! It's such a comfortable and soothing place it feels like walking through a meadow (cheesy but accurate lol). I highly recommend this place and I'm thrilled it's in Portage Park.

I love this little shop! I got the majority of my purchased Christmas presents from here this season, and they're my general go to when I need to spoil someone. The quality of the soaps is really high, and you get interesting scents you don't find elsewhere. My father in law loved the Evergreen soap, for example.
He has started mixing solid lotions and I picked up a Cinnamon/Eucalyptus tin. SO GOOD! I do end up smelling like a stick of Big Red, but my dry winter skin just loves it. I think it was also available in Lavender.
