I just had a very long conversation with Michael Plaks and am just amazed. I am part owner of an architectural firm, have owned two other businesses in the past, and have dealt with many professionals in the last 40 years. You will be hard-pressed to find a better expert in the real estate taxation area. If you do anything with real estate you really can’t rely on your average tax preparer to know all the intricacies of RE taxes. There re just too many nuances. Michael Plaks is the go-to guy in the industry. He is nationally known – just check biggerpockets forums. A real fun character to talk to as well. 5 stars!

Michael Plaks' breadth and depth of knowledge is explained so eloquently I have driven over 4 hours each way to participate in his classes for about 10 years.

I have used Michael's service for 5 years. I am very satisfied with his work. He is very knowledgeable and trustworthy tax accountant. Since his specialty is real estate tax, if you have real estate investment homes, I highly recommend to hire him. I have talked to the other accountants but not all of them are familiar with the real estate investments and give me the answer I was looking for. Since any of accountant is busy during filing season ( Jan -April for persona tax, and around Aug-Sep for business tax and tax extension dead line ), I strongly recommend to prepare your documents

I've used Michael to do my taxes for both complex and simple returns. I find the peace of mind of having a skilled tax agent do my taxes is worth more than upsetting Uncle Sam.
Get your tax info in early so that he has plenty of time to get them done. January through April is a BUSY time of year.

I have been using Michael Plaks to prepare my taxes since 2005. I am a residential real estate broker and investor. I have rental property and have bought and sold houses. I have a lot of expenses and my tax situation is not simple.
