Dr Myer has been my surgeon since 2012. He has always been upfront and honest about what he would be able to do for me and what I should expect. With Dr Myer you always feel that you have a 100% of his attention, and he does really listen. I have most certainly not been the ideal patient. Actually with my osteoporosis, I have been quite the difficult patient. Thank goodness Dr Myer didn’t give up on me. So we now hopefully found the perfect solution. I am a 40 year-old female with decades of knee pain. I have had one prior knee surgery through Kaiser which was a complete nightmare. I was told after my surgery that I would be up and walking in approximately 5 weeks. I never recovered from that surgery and actually I feel it created compensatory problems. Dr. Myer is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. He is caring and very trustworthy. He performed arthroscopy with prepatellar bursectomy on my left knee, and it has healed amazingly. I can't even tell where the incisions were made. I definitely recommend Dr. Myer very highly. He is the best orthopedic surgeon in San Diego, if not all of California.

Dr. Meyer is a excellent orthopedic surgeon. In my situation (broken clavicle) I was able to get an appointment the next day and the necessary surgery 3 days later. He explains the preocedure he is performing in detail including all the options. He provides all the risks and complications that could occur during the procedure and what expect after the procedure. He is understanding and easy to talk with. His staff is also very friendly, informative and helpful. They provided me with excellent pre and post-procedure care. I highly recommend Dr. Meyer and his staff.

Dr Myer performed a shoulder surgery on me. He is professional, calming and reliable. My surgery went off without a hitch and I am back to life without pain! There was more to be done than the scans showed and Dr. Myer completed all repairs with a comprehensive report including photos of all damage and the repairs inside. Great Surgeon! I injured my knee in China where my diagnosis was...lost in translation. I was there for a couple of months with a damaged meniscus and an uncertainty of what to do. I thought it might be getting better-When I knew it was not, I got a ticket home and an appointment with Dr. Myer. Dr Meyer operated on my right shoulder a while ago, 6/21/17, and I was concerned that i would not be able to play tennis or ice hockey afterwards.
However I did all the post operative physical therapy and have had no issues since. I am back to playing tennis and ice hockey after waiting about 12 months post surgery (at the age of 62) and i'm grateful that he was as good as the reviews had said.
Additionally i was warned by my friends who had had rotator cuff surgery that there would be quite a bit of discomfort afterwards but it wasn't any where near what i expected. i highly recommend

I highly recommend Dr. Myer! If you happen to have a shoulder injury, this doctor is the 1 to see.
I was referred to him by another orthopedic specialist for possible shoulder surgery. My shoulder injury is fairly complex & movement was terribly restricted. My pain hovered around an 8 out of 10 all day every day.
I'm thrilled that Dr. Myer opted to try less invasive options for treatment before a shoulder replacement surgery.

My husband injured his leg on Mother's Day Weekend. We were able to get a referral from his GP on Monday, saw Dr. Myer on Tuesday. Dr. Myer was pretty confident it was a torn meniscus. Had an MRI on Wednesday. Dr. Myer was correct and was able to perform the surgery the following Wednesday. Dr. Myer and his staff were wonderful. My husband is not one to want to go to the doctor. However, has admitted this was the best decision. Thank you Dr. Myer and everyone on his staff. You made my life, and his, so much easier by fixing his knee.

I LOVE this doctor! I was told to take my bandage off from shoulder replacement surgery on Monday Memorial Day. I took off more than I was suppose to and saw that the incision was open, I called his service and when he responded he told me to meet him at his office so he could clean it up and he fix it. He is a very caring guy and you can tell takes pride in what he does!

I had a rotator cuff tear repaired in early 2017. Within 6 months it tore again and the original surgeon chose not to repair it again. He told me to live with the pain. I was in constant pain and could not fathom that I would need to live with it forever. I made an appointment with Dr. Myer's associate but he was unable to schedule the repair so I was referred to Dr. Myer and after the consultation, he agreed to do the repair. I was referred to Dr. Jonathan Myer by my GP secondary to a ATV accident suffered back in April 2016, my GP was sure my rotator cuff was damaged. My initial experience with Dr. Meyer.. well, let's just say he was a man of few words. Once he gets to know you and you get to know him, he is actually pretty funny and delightful to talk to. He doesn't mince words and gets right to the point once he has all the information from the required testing or exams you may have. I like and appreciate that about him. So far my experience has been great. I got an MRI and it didn't show anything and Myer was like, we need one with contrast or whatever and that I had a torn labrum. Sure enough he was right. Going into surgery tmrw. The receptionists and Israel and everyone I've dealt with have made my experience delightful. Now there's only one thing left to do. If I don't update the review in a few months assume I died under the knife. =]
